My newest addition to my windowsill garden -- the practically unkillable sempervium, or more fondly known as, hens and hicks. I think she's lovely, and I've tentatively named her Edwina.

Bog standard unkillable snake plant! Thrives on everything or nothing. Prop by chunks of leaf stuck in dirt, nothing will happen for a couple months then suddenly shoots will appear. Just make sure the up/down is correct!

Did you know that those jade plants everyone and their dog has in the house (because they're essentially unkillable) actually flower? The Desert Pavilion had jade plant bushes three feet in diameter, their tops covered in a fine profusion of white blossoms. I wonder if the one I have at home isn't tall enough, or doesn't get enough light...

Synchronicity of the day: The wife and I had just finished binge watching The X-Files the night before.

I was a huge fan of this show when it first came out.

Watching it again 30+ years later I’ve since learned a few things:

When Law Enforcement knocks on your door and asks permission to enter and ask you a few questions the correct answer is

Mulder has assaulted FBI Special agent Jeffrey Spender, Assistant Director Skinner, and the T-1000.

Mulder just running around assaulting people, including other federal law enforcement officers, multiple times, since the 1990s and he never seems to suffer any real consequences for that.

Scully cries a lot.

It’s a joy identifying all of these great character actors that we now recognize from other shows.

Jayne from Firefly is an unkillable Super Soldier.

Krycek is Eliot Ness in Supernatural.

And our favorite, Mulder & Scully’s boss is also the grandfather of Sam and Dean Winchester in Supernatural.

Mitch Pileggi is a great character actor that’s been fighting crime with Mulder & Scully since Season 1 but he doesn’t get an opening title credit till season 9, but then only in some episodes. There are other Season 9+ episodes where Mitch Pileggi is clearly in the episode but he didn’t get an opening title credit.

Did the X-Files redact Mitch Pileggi’s opening title credit in those episodes?

Mandela Effect or something else?

Why is the X-Files trying to erase Mitch Pileggi?

Mulder suddenly assaults Chris Carter, slaps an empty cigarette pack in his face and screams “WHO DO YOU WORK FOR?!!”

There are some corny moments where X-Files struggles with technology, like the time in Season 1 where Scully wants to point out a clue she found on the computer so she whips out a red marker and circles something on the computer screen.

That’s not how computers work, Scully.

But the style and tone of the X-Files is timeless and still holds up today.

That and all the Predictive Programming episodes where the Illuminati were broadcasting their future Events.

lindy_: I have one of these. TOTALLY unkillable. Forgot about it for months and I was able to bring it back from the brink. Friend gave it to me as a housewarming present- called it a money plant & said we would always have $$ as long as if lived. Am paranoid that if it dies we'll lose the little money we have! Haha I am such a superstitious person!

I love houseplants and I used to be so good at keeping them in Australia. Here in Switzerland they just cark it on me, even the ones which are practically unkillable.

Ironically, the one at the back is a poinsettia which should have died shortly after Christmas but it's just grown a whole lot of new foliage! So I have a Christmas plant and an Easter plant living in harmony in one corner!

Must look this guy up - he's unkillable unless you have the quest that allows you to kill him. But it was amusing to watch Rae's warrior get sheeped repeatedly while I kept whacking at the ubermage npc as a bear.
