Just realised that I could include this in three groups - the window ones, the wall ones and also the fence ones!

A crop with a slight change from the last photo. Can you spot the difference?

Well, it's almost spring.

For this image, I was looking for images using my 50mm set at its widest aperture of f1.4. Strong winds had stripped most of the leaves from the trees by this time, the 4th of November, which meant that I was focusing more on looking for details, as opposed to a wider view.

Strange how when I am down or stressed I prefer to shoot in colour, but when my mood improves I am drawn back to black and white 🤔

From autumn/winder 2019, we had loads of rain for a lot of the period. Here's some trees at work in the floods. I struggled badly with roads around this time due to the water levels.

A little light leak can be seen at the top of the frame, I will have to check the camera out a bit, I assume this is from the back.

This is not one of the famous art-deco ones at the Market Square (which I must go and photo one day) but a Chinese lion at Highfields Park. It symbolises the close links between the city and Ningbo in China (where the University of Nottingham also have a campus).

There is a crow on the lion's head but it's not immediately obvious perhaps against the dark trees in the background.

The concentration of this heron at sunrise made an irresistible study in light and shadow ...

Giving the bugs a rest day :-) :-)

Taken last week on a NOPS cam club night out at the Jubilee Campus. Not sure why the sky is so blue, the whole day had been grey and very overcast, anyways thats the colour that came out of the cam, i prefer it much more than the muddy brown or black skies that i have previously achieved at this location :-). Once upon a time, I used to take shots of herons as I eased closer and closer, and would sigh in frustration when they flew off.

Nowadays, I try to work out in which direction they are likely to fly off and wait for an obliging dog walker to start the action!
