Well, obviously a firm favourite with anyone who enjoys photography in the Peak District and having also now made our first trip there we can totally see why.
Not exactly the best of conditions, very dreary and lots of rain showers around (which as always, the minute we head for home, disappear!) There was some very fleeting brightness popped out on occasion and I managed to capture a fraction of it before it reverted to grey and drab. Even so, the hills and rock formations are magical, I'd planned on a nice little walk taking in the summits but alas, as mentioned, weather put paid to that. This is an area of the district we both really enjoyed and amongst the many places we've been to that we will revisit, this will be one that is sooner rather than later.

"Do not conform to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God's will is--his good, pleasing and perfect will."
Looking very reggae
Not really reggae but a bit of Ska. Saw this band twice on consecutive nights in the early 90s, first night at The Tivoli in Buckley, a mate got on stage to sing along to a cover of Tin Soldiers, still don't think the PA has recovered, anyway they must have liked him as he took them to play pool at the 147 in Liverpool the next night before their show (insert venue here, can't remember!). Good to see their gigs are as chaotic 30 odd years later!
Windsor Castle, at Windsor in the English county of Berkshire, is the largest inhabited castle in the world and, dating back to the time of William the Conqueror, it is the oldest in continuous occupation.
This is a sheepwash that dates from the early 19th century. The sheep would enter from the eastern side and come out on the west.
It was in use until 1940
