This charming city has been nicknamed the “City of Roses” since 1913. It boasts incredibly scenic views and surroundings and is filled with beautiful parks and gardens.
The family Asteraceae, alternatively Compositae, consists of over 32,000 known species of flowering plants in over 1,900 genera within the order Asterales. Commonly referred to as the aster, daisy, composite, or sunflower family, Compositae were first described in 1740.

Plantaginaceae, the plantain family, is a family of flowering plants in the order Lamiales. In older classifications it used to be the only family of the order Plantaginales, but numerous phylogenetic studies, summarized by the Angiosperm Phylogeny Group, have demonstrated that this taxon should be included within Lamiales.

Godtfred Lies park is a green oasis in the heart of the city, in the middle of traffic and bustle. The park is close to the Moldeelva and is named after Gotfred Lie who took care of the plot.
After the city fire in 1916, the area was given to the city on the condition that a park be built.
A rose is a woody perennial flowering plant of the genus Rosa, in the family Rosaceae, or the flower it bears. There are over three hundred species and tens of thousands of cultivars. They form a group of plants that can be erect shrubs, climbing, or trailing, with stems that are often armed with sharp prickles. Godtfred Lies park is a green oasis in the heart of the city, in the middle of traffic and bustle. The park is close to the Moldeelva and is named after Gotfred Lie. Born in Molde 1886 - Director at Aker Mek.
