"Spin Three" Eternity ring
A round sapphire with two brilliant cut diamonds and alternate gold beads set in 18ct yellow gold. Photographed for the website and portfolio.
This is a variation on the Spin Six ring we made last year.
My new photographic technique with a reflection on white seems to be working ok for this image.

* Simple crocheted cell phone cover, that protects your phone from scratching.
* Eenvoudig gehaakt telefoonhoesje, dat je telefoon beschermt tegen krassen.
* Wallet for both bills and change. Made entirely out of flea market finds: curtain fabric, embroydered lace, zipper, snap closures and a piece of a placemat, inserted in the back for sturdiness.
This is one out of a series of twelve.
* Portemonnee voor papier- en kleingeld. Enkel uit rommelmarkt vondsten gemaakt: gordijnstof, geborduurd lint, rits, drukknopen en een stuk placemat, in de achterkant verwerkt voor stevigheid.
Dit is er eentje uit een serie van twaalf.
Bespoke tanzanite and diamond ring made by Rumour. This ring was made a while ago and came back for a setting check... this is why it has a few dinks in it!
* Crocheted keychain coin holder, that will hold several coins or other small treasures.
* Gehaakte sleutelhanger munthouder, met plaats voor enkele munten of andere kleine schatten.
* The front of this shopping bag (or librabry bag, or multifunctional bag) is made out of all kinds of reclaimed fabrics (upholstery samples, faux leather, faux suede, curtain fabric samples, recycled fabrics). The rest of the outside bag is made of a reclaimed vintage fabric, that is a dark brown with lighter brown speckles.
I lined the bag with a recycled shirt and kept its original pockets.
Say no to plastic bags!
* De voorkant van deze boodschappentas (of bibliotheektas, of multifunctionele tas) is gemaakt van allerlei hergebruikte lapjes stof (meubelstofstaaltjes, kunstleer, kunstsuède, gordijnstaaltjes, hergebruikte stoffen). De rest van de buitenkant van de tas is gemaakt van een vintage stof, die donkerbruin is met lichter bruine spikkels.
Ik heb de tas gevoerd met een hergebruikte blouse, waarvan ik ook de originele zakken bewaard heb.
Zeg nee tegen plastic wegwerptassen!

* Button made out of one of those plastic raster buttons. First I wove cotton yarn through it, then I sewed on beads.

1.04ct E colour princess cut diamond set on the horizontal axis with matching double pairs of 2.50mm princess cuts. Set in platinum.
A very tricky design to get right as it might have come out looking really bad. The whole setting has to curve to fit the finger nicely and the supposedly sharp corners need to be smooth and flowing in reality.

This design is sister to Roxanne's Lace also in my photostream. However I created this version as a project tutorial for Australian Beading magazine... and to my total delight This design featured on the February 2011 issue. I am thrilled.

This is The Egg, a performing arts center located at Agency Building 1, S Mall Arterial, Albany, NY located on/in Empire State Plaza.
The Egg was built between 1966 and 1978, and features some stunning Brutalist architecture. The venue itself is suspended in the egg shaped part of the building, and atendees are shutteled up by one of two completely round elevators.

The “Forcasta” was built on a 1960 Corvair Monza and known for its distinctive Lucite bubble-top and a very low hood, which necessitated a unique radiator placement. Starbird’s work is celebrated for its innovative approach and the car’s space-age styling.

This bag is made out of a dark brown fabric, is decorated with blue buttons, is lined with a blue and white polkadot vintage fabric and has a zippered pocket inside.
The shoulder straps are made out of window rolling-shutter straps.

Deze tas is gemaakt van een donkerbruine stof, is gedecoreerd met blauwe knopen, is gevoerd met een blauw en wit gestippelde vintage stof en heeft een binnenzak met ritssluiting.
De schouderbanden zijn gemaakt van bedieningsbanden voor rolluiken.

PS: as a book lover and collector I've got to add that no valuable old books were damaged in the process.
* Handbag, made with painter's canvas from the 1930's. Decorated with knitwork, crochet, vintage buttons, trim and lace. Lined with a vintage fabric.
* Handtas, gemaakt van schilderscanvas uit de jaren 30. Versierd met breiwerk, haakwerk, vintage knopen, lint en kant. Gevoerd met een vintage stof.
* Handmade card.
Used materials: cotton fabrics for the leaves, a wallpaper sample for the background.
* Zelfgemaakte kaart.
Gebruikte materialen: katoenen stofjes voor de blaadjes, een behangstaaltje voor de achtergrond.

This bag is made out of a dark brown fabric and its front is decorated with circles of all kinds of pink cotton fabrics.
The shoulder straps are made out of window rolling-shutter straps.

Deze tas is gemaakt van een donkerbruine stof en is aan de voorzijde gedecoreerd met cirkels van allerlei soorten roze katoenen stof.
