Today’s trip down memory lane is to the unforgettable time, way back in 2012, when we went sea cave kayaking in stunning Phang Nga Bay in the Strait of Malacca. This awe-inspiring bay is filled with majestic limestone cliffs, hidden lagoons, and mysterious sea caves, some of which we were lucky enough to explore by kayak.
After paddling under the overhanging sea cliffs, you enter the squishy tunnel through the caves, lying flat your nose nearly touching the ceiling, only navigable at low tide. Then you glide out the other side into a magical place! A place that takes your breath away and renders everyone silent Beautiful secluded natural lagoons surrounded by lush greenery, wild monkeys chattering in the trees, and the gentle lapping of the waves. A place lost to time and civilisation. Magical.
Later, after recovering from the day’s adventures, you make a traditional Krathong (offering). Imagine putting together things like banana leaves, flowers & candles trying to make something that floats. (Lucky my daughter was good at it, me not so good😉) Then as the sun is setting, you climb back into your kayak and head into a dark cave with your Krathong where the candles are lit, and the offering set afloat. Watching the flames flicker in the dark was a mesmerising experience.
To finish the day its back to the boat for the trip back to port drifting on an ocean, and past islands, painted shades of orange and red by a stunning sunset. It has to be the most beautiful natural wonder in Thailand 😊

I don't know many flowers with such a powerful name. When it comes to that, the forget-me-nots must have outstriped the roses as the flower of the loving for some time already. But maybe they are just to tiny and don't like the big show. I'm fascinated of them anyway, with their blossoms like made of marzipan and I will never forget to shoot them at least once every year.
Ich kenne nur wenige Blumen, mit so einem kraftvollen Namen. Wenn es danach ginge, müsste das Vergißmeinnicht der Rose schon lange den Rang der Blume der Verliebten abgelaufen haben. Doch vielleicht sind sie einfach zu klein und stehen nicht so auf die große Show. Ich finde sie trotzdem faszinierend, mit ihren Blüten wie aus Marzipan und werde es nie vergessen, sie in jedem Jahr mindestens einmal zu fotografieren.

It was an unforgettable session with a perfect morning light. I've been waiting for this day for several months, thinking about the cadres I wanted to do.
There are only a few places at the church where you can use a wide-angle lens. In a few photos I used the Hitech ND 0.9 Grad Soft filter (85x110), and some of the photos I took from the tripod and hand in places where I could not use a tripod.
Such an unusual moment, in addition to the uniqueness of the mood of peace and quiet during this session was an unexpected meeting. When I quietly moved around the church taking photos - suddenly I heard somebody was running (on a steep road from stone blocks) and the conversation of two people (father and son) and their loud breaths (the church is on the hill and it was very early) - their surprise that this time of the day someone is photographing in this place was immeasurable and unforgettable.

From the top, an impressive plateau, it is possible to contemplate the entire city of Rio and its surroundings – it is possible to see the Sugar Loaf, Christ the Redeemer, the beaches of Copacabana, Ipanema, São Conrado and Barra da Tijuca, and even the mountains of Serra of the Organs. It's an unforgettable sight!

Sempre in "quel treno" in quella bellissima terra che é il Madagascar.
Questo é lo stesso bimbo dell'altra foto. Un incontro indimenticabile.
Tra me e lui un vetro che ci separava e che divideva lo scompartimento dove era seduto lui con la nonna e due fratelli dallo spazio che é visibile nell'ultima foto con lo sportello aperto. Ho cercato di fotografare questo dolcissimo viso tra due riflessi a sinistra e destra che hanno lasciato un alone.
Poca luce... il movimento del treno, ma i colori sono quelli originali.
E anche l'atmosfera. Almeno credo e spero che arrivi anche a voi :)
Abbiamo fatto amicizia. La nonna era una insegnante in pensione vestita con sobria eleganza: collana di perle, tailleur e cappellino.
Ci siamo scambiate gli indirizzi e loro hanno ricevuto le foto :)
