I don't know many flowers with such a powerful name. When it comes to that, the forget-me-nots must have outstriped the roses as the flower of the loving for some time already. But maybe they are just to tiny and don't like the big show. I'm fascinated of them anyway, with their blossoms like made of marzipan and I will never forget to shoot them at least once every year.

Doch vielleicht sind sie einfach zu klein und stehen nicht so auf die große Show. Ich finde sie trotzdem faszinierend, mit ihren Blüten wie aus Marzipan und werde es nie vergessen, sie in jedem Jahr mindestens einmal zu fotografieren.

San Gimignano is a small walled medieval hill town in the province of Siena, Tuscany, north-central Italy. Known as the Town of Fine Towers, San Gimignano is famous for its medieval architecture, unique in the preservation of about a dozen of its tower houses, which, with its hilltop setting and encircling walls form "an unforgettable skyline". The town also is known for the saffron, the Golden Ham and its white wine, Vernaccia di San Gimignano, produced from the ancient variety of Vernaccia grape which is grown on the sandstone hillsides of the area.

It was a lovely cold and clear day today and we went for a drive to Narkanda,some 70 kms from here.There has been fresh snowfall on the peaks and they were sparkling white today.This is a view of the peaks from Fagu some 20 kms from Shimla.The building with the red roof is the Hotel Apple Blossom of the Himachal tourism department.

It was half a billion years in the making, two ancient continents collide, and the Earth's inner soul, the mantle, shows itself.
We hiked this trail under darks clouds, ran between raindrops, and stood in awe of the barren red landscape as the clouds gently rolled over the mountains. It was an unforgettable experience and watching these two take it all in made my heart happy.

I generally do not like portrait orientation for 'landscapes', but once in a while it is essential. As we walked to Virginia Falls at Glacier National Park, Virginia Creek flowed next to the trail for short distances at some points. The roar of the water here created by the creek and the beautiful background made for an unforgettable moment.

This is a fence at St Giles On The Hill church in Norwich. The church has lots of wisteria and forget-me-nots every spring. It’s so beautiful the church has a musical concert in celebration. I saw the church as I drove past in the car. I went back with my camera to photograph it. There were lots of other people taking photographs too, with cameras large and small.

A perfect way to experience Bryce National Park is by horseback riding. I had a few occasions to ride a horse before, but have never participated in a 1/2 day tour on PEEK-A-BOO LOOP TRAIL. The tour isn't an easy one, but I will never regret taking on this challenge. It was so exciting! The horses are well trained to travel along the outer ridge of the trail even when they go down the switchbacks to the bottom canyon. The inner edge of the trail is designated for hikers! Well, let me tell you: it is a thrill, and not for everyone! Fear is the factor! When you sit on a horseback, you are much higher, and therefore you feel frightened. There is quite a few horses in front of and behind you. If you scream, your horse stars to gallop, then the others follow yours. They are animals, right? Sometimes, the best thing to do on switchbacks is just to close your eyes and trust your horse! I mean it! I have done it twice!!! Remember it is an experience of a lifetime! For sure, I will remember the Bryce’s breathtaking beauty from horseback for ever,.... and my behind for years! :))
