I tried out my new macro ring from the fisheye attachment. It operated very differently on the 50mm lens than it did on the 18-55mm zoom. I think this was with the zoom. The 50mm was so extremely close that everything looked otherworldly. Also, I discovered how important a tripod is. Most of my macro shots turned out blurry.

Bright light reveals some of the detail of the leaves to come. This shoot is only a few inches high, but already a spider has found it a useful anchor.
