... raw attraction, ... that pull. Powerful. Unexplainable. ... Just my thought of the day.

the fantastic thing about photography is when you pass by a window, look at it and feel the biggest unexplainable urge to create something.

Heading south on old highway one. Up ahead the Ohio River valley comes into view with all of it’s scenic splendor. An occasional historic structure presents itself as a reminder of the temporal nature of man made things and their actual importance in the overall scheme of things. A sense of loneliness creeps over you for some unexplainable reason as you contemplate the contrast. So be it. This is the way things are. Make the best of it.

You can only visit the first floor in this castle. The rest cannot be visited. Not even restorers were allowed to do this. There are tourists that often say they hear sounds that are unexplainable and footsteps.

They say when you trip the first time, you are more weary of your steps. But when you trip a second time, perhaps you did not scrape your knee so badly the first time and didn't bother much about where you were walking. And then a third fall, then another... But somehow despite the various wounds and fractures you encounter, you just can't stop falling, can you?

What if the last fall ends up too fatal that you just couldn't get up? Or what if the ultimate fall is the one where your pain is so numb that it just feels right. Or perhaps all the falls put together has given you this unexplainable armor that allows you to keep within that fear of falling again.

Who are you kidding anyways? Yourself? You know you are going to fall again and you just don't want it to hurt a million times worst than all the rest so you remain on the ground because if you stand... that excruciating pain will hit you hard all at once.

This southern sp. is relatively rare in Hungary. The northern border of its distribution area runs in the Carpathian Basin.

(Unexplainably, Fauna Europaea almost completely ignores Hungary, as far as the distribution of Pompilidae is concerned. Even those sp. are not shown as occuring within the borders of Hungary that have been described from the country by Hungarian scolars... Interesting.)

Swear to God I fought the good fight,

always waiting for the coming of morning.

And I heard the Captain say, I heard the Captain say,

And I heard the Captain say, I heard the Captain say,

"Activate your force-fields and just keep going..."

Muriel’s Jackson Square opened its doors on March 10, 2001 after an extensive restoration of the building to its former glory of the mid-1800’s. The renovation tried to remain faithful to the original historic design of the building as a prime private residence. The restoration was done under a National Historic Tax Credit as administered by the National Park Service which operates in the French Quarter as a National Historic Park. The key to the loving restoration project was to bring back what had once been an elegant private home in the heart of the French Quarter.

Ghosts...

Many paranormal investigations have occurred over the years with several reports stating that they’ve seen unexplainable strange shadows while hearing unknown voices nearby. The most activity comes from the Seance Lounge, where very distinct knocks on the brick wall may interact as communication. Audio of a female’s voice has also been discovered when no female was present.

We firmly believe that our resident ghosts here at Muriel’s are harmless, and can sometimes be very entertaining. Those who have seen or felt a presence have never felt threatened and instead we’ve welcomed an old kindred spirit to dine, by always keeping a table reserved for Mr. Jourdan set with bread and wine.

"I'm counting all the killers,

They sway as they swarm.

A look of gluttons in their eyes,

They mutter as the body loses warmth.

While I was learning to live,

We all were living a lie.

So I will settle for a slaughterhouse soaked in blood and betrayal,

It's always somebody else.

Somebody else was me".

Monticello, Arkansas. Built in 1906, the Allen House is located along North Main Street and features gothic-style architecture and wrought-iron fencing. The house was planned by local businessman Joe Lee Allen to be the most impressive house the town had ever seen. Unfortunately in December 1948 the family experienced a grave tragedy – their daughter, Ladell, consumed mercury cyanide-laced punch in the house’s master suite. Out of grief, her mother sealed off the room and it would not be entered by anyone for nearly four decades. During its time as an apartment building in the 1950s, tenants would report eerie occurrences, including hazy figures appearing in photographs, furniture being unexplainably rearranged and several reports of a lady sitting in a turret window. The Allen House is now open for historic guided tours by appointment and opens its doors the last two days of October for special Halloween tours.

Remembering: Professor Fred Woell

"Art, like life, is a challenge. It challenges all our resources, mentally and physically. It can't be predictably created from a linear didactic formula. It eludes methodology, technology, or ritual. It is, like life, more about being human, being vulnerable, being imperfect, and about things unexplainable. It is not a science. Art is about surprise, about the unexpected, about letting go and risking. It is about taking steps towards places where there may not be any footholds, and falling and failing.” – J. “Silence stands outside the world of profit and utility; it cannot be exploited for profit; you cannot get anything out of it. It is ‘unproductive’ Therefore it is regarded as valueless. Yet there is more help and healing in silence than in all the 'useful things.’ Purposeless, unexplainable silence suddenly appears at the side of the all-too-purposeful, and frightens us by its very purposelessness. It interferes with the regular flow of the purposeful. It strengthens the untouchable, it lessens the damage inflicted by exploitation. It makes things whole again, by taking them back from the world of dissipation into the world of wholeness. It gives something its own holy uselessness, for that is what silence itself is: holy uselessness.” (Max Picard)

Split Rock Lighthouse, Lake Superior North Shore, Minnesota

After a storm on Nov. 28, 1905 had damaged 29 ships, Congress authorized $70,000 to build a lighthouse and fog signal at Split Rock. The light station was completed in 1910.

The light was taken out of service in 1969 when modern navigation methods made it obsolete, but the 1,000 watt 3rd-order bivalve Fresnel lens beacon is lit once a year on November 10th to commemorate the wreck of the Edmund Fitzgerald.

I have made the beacon lighting ceremony the last two years, and I plan on going every year for as long as I can still make it. Yes, it's cold on the North Shore in November, but if you have a love of history, beauty, and a need for an unexplainable sense of something unexplainable, the trip is well worth it!

While I was learning to live, we all were living a lie- I guess you got what you wanted

So I will settle for a slaughterhouse soaked in blood and betrayal

It’s always somebody else… somebody else was me- you want the real smile?

Or the one I used to practice, not to feel like a failure?

I don’t need you to do it for me/I don’t need you to understand

I don’t need you to hide it from me/ I just want to feel like any other man

I won’t show you the whole story/I won’t show you the aftermath

I won’t show you my allegory

Don’t look away… HERE’S AN UNEXPLAINABLE ONE

I just liked the light, but the backstory is that this particular statute is called Christ with a Toothache. Apparently, three men once made fun of how it looked with cloth tied around it to hod down some flowers, saying it looked like he had a toothache. The next day, each of them had unexplainable toothaches which didn't go away - until they returned to the Stephansdom and begged forgiveness. Their pain ended within an hour, so the story goes.

There is no definition of beauty, but when you can see someone's spirit coming through, something unexplainable, that's beautiful to me. ...

¨unknown¨

Right now most of the light is gone or only appearing short periods. I had to take a glimpse into my Summer photos today to take a break from Winter darkness.

I had forgotten about this stunning flower standing on its own inside the famous Malmö park, Slottsträdgården.

I hope you enjoy the white pink petals perfectly shaped with the sharp sunlight highlighting all the parts parts.

Hav a lovely Wednesday!

The Lake Tahoe Area is blessed with so much amazing scenery, I believe it would have easily been worthy of National Park status. Of all the photo ops in this area, Bonsai Rock is one of my favorites. With calm winds and still waters around the rock, a long exposure was probably the last technique I would have imagined using, but due to a sudden unexplainable impulse, I decided to attach a 10-stop grad filter to my lens, and subsequently chose this 150 second exposure to process.

This shot wreck havoc actually. I seriously have a few claims to make. This picture has a context, an argument, a fight, a big STORY attached to it. This picture, before me, would only might have been shot from a drone or something, and I doubt that even. This shot is taken from an unusual rock edge, "THE ROCK OF NALTAR" as I gave it a name. Some __ meters above the third lake (Big one in the picture).

THE STORY

-----------

YES I AM BEHAVING LIKE A DISCOVERER, CONSIDERING MY SELF A HERO, lol. But this is true. Usual viewers set their bags and tie their laces after visiting the third lake. And so were we supposed to do. Nothing beyond the lake perhaps. Or may be you circle the lake, which is definitely a very obvious choice. And yet down from their I see this edge (will upload the edge, my standing place in this pic later). I wanna go there.

"I WANT TO GO THERE", I cried.

"THAT IS NO PLACE TO VISIT", replied my guide.

"I STILL WANT TO GO THERE", insisting me.

"No sir we should circle the lake." My guide is in no mood.

"I WILL GO THERE", I have set the target.

"Sir lets go we have to cover alot of ground", my guide won't go.

"I AM GOING THERE, SEE YOU", My goal is very clear to me

"SIR I HEAR LANDSLIDING"

"WHAT ? I HEAR Nothing"......

............

..............

.............

I disobeyed him, Actually I should have, and I did. The local guide perhaps was afraid of snow leopards showing instantly and making thing worse. He tried his best to stop me, he was prettyu furious in the end. But what i achieved was something unexplainable, impossible to render with words.

Achievement, a scenery perhaps not sighted by any MAN before. I don't care the guide called me mad, and so many other words. Don't care if other people think the same. I really am the first man on that rock. and i am damn proud of it.
