When traveling around Tromso, it is the arctic landscapes of snowy mountains, vast valleys, fjord, lakes and rivers that put magic in your day.

KINGFISHERS often perch on overhanging branches and plunge headlong into the water, was at the Feast hide for only two hours, and he put in three visits, and caught three smallish fish. A joy to see these birds, the plumage is undeniably striking, and the paparazzi of clicking cameras , from the many birders, endorses my statement. Seen at Stodmarsh, Grove Ferry, Kent.

THANK YOU FOR BEING A FRIEND, love your comments, they are very appreciated, and find encouraging. Will return the visit, and do the same on your latest posting.

Hope your weekend is going well , enjoy the Lords day...

Jonker Street in Melaka(Malacca)

Melaka City's weekly shopping extravaganza keeps the shops along Jln Hang Jebat open late, while trinket sellers, food hawkers and the occasional fortune teller close the street to traffic. Unashamedly commercial and attracting hoards of tourists, it is nevertheless an undeniably colourful way to spend an evening shopping and grazing.

Many thanks to all those who view, comment and or fave my photos....It is greatly appreciated ......Chandana

He could see it all in his mind - his escape.

He'd pack a few things. Commune with the cat. Sit waiting in the dark till the wife got home... and then just tell her, flat out.

There would be no drama. No conflict. No fighting. He would just tell her, flat out, "I'm leaving." And that would be the end of that.

She would be stunned. Would stand in the light from the hall in her pink waitress uniform... apron greasy... hair damp, frizzing out around the edges... staring at him... uncomprehending. Maybe she would shake her head. Or raise one hand to the fake gold locket at her throat. Or, with both hands, clutch at her apron.

He could see her hands... red, raw, big boned... calloused from all her long years of drudgery. Remembered those hands on his fevered forehead... on his arm... on his chest... clawing at his back. Remembered all the times she had cared for him... nursed him... seeing him through his illness. And supporting him. Working evenings at the diner, and extra shifts, and cleaning houses on the side... while he stayed home, finding himself, surfing the Internet, playing with his camera.

"Why don't you ever take pictures of me?" she asked him once, shyly.

He was kind enough to not say "Because you're unattractive." But she knew from the way he looked at her.

She had seen whom and what he did choose to photograph. Models. Long lean sexy women. On billboards, on bus shelter ads, in magazines.

He didn't care that someone else had done the real work - acquiring the models, setting up the shots... getting the look and the lighting and the tones and everything else just right.

He didn't care. When he shot them himself, they became his property. And there on his computer screen, when he downloaded the images, they were undeniably and absolutely "his" girls... His because he'd taken them - stolen them, captured them for his own private use, his own enjoyment.

The wife, by comparison, was old, soft, lumpy... sinewy in all the wrong places. He pictured her standing there, her face in shadow, speechless... stunned... as he pushed past her, out the door with his little overnight bag.

He wouldn't ask for anything. She could keep the rented apartment, the black and white TV, the second-hand furniture... even the computer. He had his discs, his photographs, his girls... right there in the hard-sided cloth overnight bag.

He had cash, too. He'd been socking away his "allowance" for months... and had enough, he thought, to buy his own computer.

He really hadn't thought about how he would support himself, or even where he'd go, although... in his mind... he saw himself living in a penthouse apartment with big shiny skylights and see-through curtains and a panoramic view of the river. He pictured the girls from his computer discs with him... lounging on leather couches... bubbling in the bath.

He sat in the dark, clutched the overnight bag, stroked it gently, smiling to himself, waiting for the sound of her feet on the stairs, her key in the door... fantasizing. Pictured the wife from the back... her broad hips... her blue-veined legs... her nurse shoes. Pictured her doubled with grief, receding from him as he made his escape.

And then she was home.

He sat up, alert.

He could hear her fumbling in her purse for her keys.

He held the overnight bag and lined up the words inside his mouth: "I'm leaving."

The door opened and the wife walked in. Weary. Preoccupied. She walked right past him in the darkened living room, didn't even see him sitting there.

He heard her in the bathroom, running water. Brushing her teeth. Flushing the toilet.

Then he heard the squeak of springs as she lowered herself into bed.

"Honey?" she called from the bedroom. "Are you coming to bed? It's late."

In the livingroom he closed his eyes, breathed deeply, hugged the overnight bag to his chest.

"Yes," he called back to the wife. "I'm coming. Just a minute." And he rose from the couch.

And before he went to bed, he slid the overnight bag back into its secret place at the very back of the closet. With his discs. With his girls. With his freedom; his escape.

La Merveille is an exceptional example of monastic architecture. As its name suggests, the Merveille building is the undeniable masterpiece of Mont Sain-Michel abbey. Its construction dates back to the beginning of the 13th century and represents a technical and artistic feat. La Merveille illustrates the spirit of Gothic art that was blowing through all of Western Europe at that time. Its daring architecture comprises 3 superimposed levels which culminate at 35 m in height, supported by sixteen powerful buttresses.

The castle of Peyrepertuse is in the region of Languedoc Roussillion and is considered one of the most noteworthy cĂĄtaras structures of the region. It was built in the XI century in the top of an immense rock with the that it confuses the distance. It is not until one is very close to the castle that note its presence and is able to appreciate its undeniable splendor. The place was occupied by the Romans long before the construction of the castle.

Two centuries after its construction, was delivered to the crusaders, in the year 1240 and formed part of the Crown Catalano-Aragonesa. Since then, was a key piece in the defense of the border with the then Kingdom of Castile and remained there until the seventeenth century, when the Treaty of the Pyrenees gave end to the dispute over the territory with the French, and the relocation of the dividing line between the two countries left the castle away from limit.

After a long and arduous hike in through deep snow we had arrived at Seamans Hut and went about setting up our campsite and enjoying a truly stunning afternoon. There hadn’t been a breath of wind and with the temperature only just below zero we were very comfortable.

Once the sun set we fired up our small gas cookers and heated up some dinner. When you’re in the mountains and bereft of common comforts such as light and TV time seems to really slow down and the evening was still young.

There are countless reasons why I love to escape city life. Amongst the many however, there is one which never ceases to impress me – that is, the colossal night sky. Away from the city lights the magnificence of the universe becomes undeniably amazing.

With the last light of the day finally gone the show had begun, above us was one huge sky and in front of me was one beautiful alpine hut that was so coincidently positioned perfectly below a quickly emerging milky way.

The temperature was dropping fast but it felt like I had all the time in the world.

This is the narrow entry to the harbour in Bauline. Not sure I’d want to be entering or exiting here today. Even standing safely on shore I experienced a few mouthfuls of salt water. I love the ocean
though not tasting it. I love it when she is utterly calm or uncontrollably angry. Whatever the day her beauty is undeniable.

It's undeniable that those words are unreliable,

Nefarious by nature,

Envious to an extreme,

Egotistical, cruel hearted and mean,

Possessed with greed,

Lecherous indeed,

A master of confusion,

A facilitator of delusion,

Revenge driven...

To the point of becoming maniacal,

Every act diabolical,

Truly a minister of the sinister,

A desperate hopeless schemer once a high achiever,

A fallen angle, now a devil in the face of a human.

So is the hell's tyrant...

" I have been a fool to my own thoughts and my actions and have shown my foolishness as vividly. As the sun in the day sky and the moon in the night. Its undeniable that there are things I could have done better and now I can do better. There is nothing more for me to do than pull my socks up, put on my fighting gloves and bust out my moves. I’m stronger than this, So watch out
.I am on to you and your tricks. I won’t be a fool anymore.. So bring it on !"

"The Lowthers' domain may have diminished somewhat over the centuries, but their vast family estate of Lowther Park is till an undeniably impressive affair. Encompassing great tracts of woodland, forest, hunting park and pasture, the estate's most spectacular feature is THE CRENELLATED RUIN OF LOWTHER CASTLE. The house fell into decline dutring the early 20th century, especially following the infamously profligate antics of Hugh, the 5th Earl of Lonsdale, who bankrupted the family coal mines and spent much of the family fortune." I often imagine if Lower Manhattan had an amusement park with a built-in rollercoaster as its most popular spectacle, this image would probably be the view one would encounter at the summit of the first (and typically highest) incline, only seconds before it immediately plunges to commence the thrill ride that ultimately ensues.

Alas, the reality is a depth-defying view of downtown NYC from the top of the tallest building in the United States. The 360Âș view from the masterfully designed, three-level observation deck of One World Trade Center (1 WTC) is utterly and undeniably superb.

Furthermore, if you’re fortunate enough to arrive to witness day transition into night over New York from the pinnacle of 1 WTC, the emotions you might experience may range from jubilant suspense and anticipation to unbridled and mesmerizing awe.

The nerve center of the old Cuenca:

Cuenca's Plaza Mayor is not the largest in Spain, but its charm is undeniable. On one side, its cathedral rises majestically, in Norman Gothic style and from the end of the 12th century.

On the other, its baroque Town Hall, from the time of Carlos III, and built in 1762, and which stands on three semicircular arches that, in turn, are the arches that practically welcome us to this Plaza. And I can't resist naming the buildings throughout the square, shining with their colors.

Well sometimes the sun shines on other people's houses and not mine.

Some days the clouds paint the sky all gray and it takes away my summertime.

Somehow the sun keeps shining upon you, while I struggle to get mine.

If there's a light in everybody,

Send out your ray of sunshine.

I want to walk the same roads as everybody else, Through the trees and past the gates.

Getting high on heavenly breezes, making new friends along the way.

I won't ask much of nobody,

I'm just here to sing along.

And make my mistakes looks gracious, and learn some lessons from my wrongs.

Well sometimes the sun shines on other people's houses and not mine.

Some days the clouds paint the sky all gray and it takes away my summertime.

Somehow the sun keeps shining upon you, while I struggle to get mine. A little light never hurt nobody, send out your ray of sunshine.

Oh, if this little light of mine

Combined with yours today,

How many watts could we luminate?

How many villages could we save?

And my umbrella's tired of the weather,

Wearing me down.

Well, look at me now.

You should look as good as your outlook, would you mind if I took some time,

To soak up your light, your beautiful light?

You've got a paradise inside.

I get hungry for love and thirsty for life, and much too full on the pain,

When I look to the sky to help me and sometimes it looks like rain.

As the sun shines on other people's houses

And not mine,

And the sky paints those clouds in a way

That it takes away the summertime,

Somehow the sun keeps shining upon you, while I kindly stand by. If there's a light in everybody,

Send out your ray of sunshine

You're undeniably warm, you're cerulean,

You're perfect in desire.

Won't you hang around

So the sun, it can shine on me,

And the clouds they can roll away,

And the sky can become a possibility?

If there's a light in everybody,

Send out your ray of sunshine.

Blue Hunter's Moon over Seattle (a.k.a. Blue Moon a.k.a. Blue Mini Moon a.k.a. so many other names).

I almost didn't capture this moment because I wasn't feeling that inspired. However, it was the bright, haunting glow of the moonlight which I found undeniable. My mood changed and I resolved to obtain my camera to document the occasion. In retrospect, I am happy with the result. Happy Halloween.

--

Did you know that the term "blue moon" (such as the saying "once in a blue moon") actually refers to the rare occurrence when two full moons appear in the same calendar month? That's why this particular October has been interesting for astronomy and outer space enthusiasts.

There will only be six blue moons between now and 2037, although that year will see two of them.

It's undeniable... that we should be together

It's unbelievable how I used to say that I'd fall never

The basis is need to know, if you don't know just how I feel

Then let me show you now that I'm for real

If all things in time, time will reveal

Yeah

One... you're like a dream come true

Two... just wanna be with you

Three... girl, it's plain to see that you're the only one for me

And four... repeat steps one through three

Five... make you fall in love with me

If ever I believe my work is done

Then I'll start back at one

(Yeah)

So incredible the way things work themselves out

And all emotional, once you know what it's all about, babe

And undesirable for us to be apart

Never would've made it very far

'Cause you know you've got the keys to my heart

'Cause

One... you're like a dream come true

Two... just wanna be with you

Three... girl, it's plain to see that you're the only one for me

And four... repeat steps one through three

Five... make you fall in love with me

If ever I believe my work is done

Then I'll start back at one

Say farewell to the dark of night

I see the coming of the sun

I feel like a little child

Whose life has just begun

You came and breathed new life

Into this lonely heart of mine

You threw out the life line

Just in the nick of time

One... you're like a dream come true

Two... just wanna be with you

Three... girl, it's plain to see that you're the only one for me

And four... repeat steps one through three

Five... make you fall in love with me

If ever I believe my work is done

Then I'll start back at one

Red foxes (Vulpes Vulpes) live around the world in many diverse habitats including forests, grasslands, mountains, and deserts. They also adapt well to human environments such as farms, suburban areas, and even large communities. The red fox's resourcefulness has earned it a legendary reputation for intelligence and cunning. This fox was photographed in a garden in Laugharne, Carmarthenshire, Wales. A much maligned animal but undeniably a beautiful creature.

This was photographed near Theodore Roosevelt National Park, named after the man that this territory had such a profound effect on. Roosevelt fell in love with the "perfect freedom" of the West, and found solitude and healing during his times here. Holding an undeniably unique character to them, Roosevelt said of the Badlands that "There are no words that can tell the hidden spirit of the wilderness, that can reveal its mystery, its melancholy, and its charm." Even in the apparent desolation of such land, he also said that "I grow very fond of this place, and it certainly has a desolate, grim beauty of its own, that has a curious fascination for me."

In the end, Roosevelt's fondness for the life and land he found in the Dakotas played a large part in the development of the future president's character and his push for the conservation of natural resources.

"I have always said I would not have been President had it not been for my experience in North Dakota." --Theodore Roosevelt

These Bulbuls are just undeniably great subjects... I feel like I am posting too many shots of them but... what to do? I like them :-)

It's also interesting to see the seasonal differences down near the Dead Sea at well below Sea Level here (- 133 M = - 436 Ft) and just 40 minutes from Amman (950 M = 3,117 Ft). Here, as you can see in the photo, the trees are budding up and where we live in Amman, it's still cold, rainy and even snowy.

I also have checked and, as I thought, during the winter, there's almost 5% more oxygen in the air down here so far below sea level (summer is like 3.5%)!!

This Bulbul certainly likes the warmer weather down here. Many birds up on the plateau come down-slope to winter...

Version 1

Fourth in my series of uncolorful but interesting birds photographed in Columbia. The lovely reddish earth-toned color is undeniable. However, he lacks the brilliant yellows (eyes excepted), blues, and reds of the colorful tropical birds.

In the region of Liguria, on top of a rugged area of the Italian Riviera, lies the Cinque Terre, five small towns of lush colors contrasting with the brown stones and the turquoise sea.

The Cinque Terre is one of the most pure and unspoilt Mediterranean areas of Liguria and the Tyrrhenian Coast. Five miles of rocky coastline, united by two promontories, five villages located in a zone of difficult access and precisely why these places have managed to maintain their characteristic charm over time. The viticulture, typical of the region helped to create a unique landscape, on hills overlooking the sea.

With an undeniable beauty, Monterosso, Riomaggiore and its trekking path, Corniglia, Vernazza and Manarola deserve to be visited for those who love a breathtaking view.

The succulent plant popularly known as aranto, mother of a thousand or mother of thousands is perhaps the easiest to grow, as well as the fastest propagating plant. The Kalanchoe daigremontiana lives up to its nickname, producing thousands of seedlings at the speed of light.

The genus Kalanchoe, belonging to the Crassulaceae family, originates from tropical regions of the African continent, being quite common on the island of Madagascar.

The aranto or mother of thousands, in turn, belongs to the Kalanchoe daigremontiana species. It is a very common succulent plant in collections, due to its resistance and ease of cultivation. However, as it multiplies very quickly, it can become a problem, thanks to this invasive profile. Over time, it can be difficult to control its propagation in pots, flower beds and gardens. As its name implies, aranto has the ability to generate new shoots along all the edges of its leaves. These seedlings stand out very easily, generating new individuals when they fall to the ground.

Despite this inconvenience, the ornamental and curious effect of the leaves embroidered by countless sprouts is undeniable. Very often, they start to take root, still attached to the mother plant. In this same genus of Aranto, there is still another species, Kalanchoe delagoensis, which also has this characteristic of producing buds on the edges of the leaves. She is also known as the mother of a thousand or the mother of thousands. However, its leaves are much narrower and longer, it is a different species from the aranto in appearance. It is called on the outside the chandelier plant, or chandelier plant.

Plants grow up to 1 m (3 ft 3 in) tall and have opposite and whorled, fleshy oblong-lanceolate leaves which grow up to 20 cm (8 in) long and 32 mm (1+1⁄4 in) wide. They are green above and blotched with purple underneath. Leaf margins have spoon-shaped bulbiliferous spurs which bear plantlets which may form roots while still attached to leaves.

All parts of this species contain a very toxic steroid known as daigremontianin.

Ce qui fait le charme indéniable de l'écosse; ces éclaircies qui illuminent un paysage vert, sauvage et inhabité. Des contrastes et une palette de couleurs extraordinaires.

Which is the undeniable charm of Scotland; these clearings that illuminate a green landscape, wild and uninhabited. Contrasts and an extraordinary color palette.

The Great Lord or the Skies... not something we think of with pelicans. Eagles, yes; pelicans, never. Pelicans are comical: squabbling amongst themselves; crash landing each time as though they seem to always over- or under-estimate where the water is. Yet, when I watch them in flight, they exude a power in their gracefulness, an undeniably regal quality.

A view of the north side of the Exposition Building. Constructed in 1894, it is both the oldest existing and first permanent building on the State Fairgrounds. The 1893 Columbian Exposition in Chicago had an undeniable impact on the Fairground’s architecture. The Exposition Building was designed by Charles W. Shinn and J.I. Rinaker Jr., and was inspired by the monumental neo-classical architecture of the Columbian Exposition.

The two-and-a-half story red brick building, purported to be the largest building of its type in the United States, was capped by a series of pressed metal domes. Hailed as the “Queen of the Fair,” it housed exhibitions of state-manufactured goods, ladies clothing, artwork, textiles, and vendor booths. It serves the same purpose today, and still looks much as it did when it opened in 1894.

It is a spacious two level building with iron framing, brick walls, and segmented arched windows. the Exposition Building is known for accommodating a variety of major events.

The first Illinois State Fair was held in Springfield in 1853, then was hosted by twelve cities around the state for the first 40 years until making Springfield its permanent home in 1894.
