A very long time ago in a land called Azoroth I was once the most saught rogue on contract.. money... all about the bloodthistle and money.. highest bidder got me a mage go figure.. dainty thing he was pompus and intellectual and political as they came.. and all that shiny gold blind sided me.. little did I know then that his son.. a soul sucking degernate would be the reason he needed a body guard... and when the guilds clashed and the fight insued the poor mage one blow away from being destroyed looked at me pleading me to help.. so I had to think fast on my feet what is the one thing a warlock wants and needs.. souls.. and so I sealed my fate
"STOP!"
"and why should I?"
"I'll make a trade"
"What could you possibly have to offer me that I don't already have wafe..."
"My soul in trade to spare his life"
"Your soul?.."
"Suki no!!"
"Shut up Marion.. you've done enough damage!"
"Your soul... DONE!"
and before I could blink I could feel my life drained from me.. my soul slowly drained syphoned .. the cold set in so this is what death felt like..
I collapsed weak and looked up at Baliel.. "It is done..."
the ruby soulshard gleamed like a rare treasure and I could feel it's pull I watched as he fashioned it into a necklace and then hung around his neck a proud trophy for capturing the legendary Sea Witch Darkblade.. and became his guard for near three centuries.. none could stand against Deamonis Sanquis.. he simply had to point in the direction of his enemies and squeeze that shard to make his demands and commands and I shed more blood than the rivers flowed outside Eversong.. when I had almost given up hope it took a Paladin of all things to save my soul and release it from it's captivity around the warlocks neck.. am I still bought and traded you ask? hahaha no I watch from the shadows over the Darkblade family and the paladin proudly darlin.. and I learned a harsh lesson.. even in undeath love can be found.. lost.. returned.. and freed
...Because if he did, he'd have stuck around for longer. What a shame...

While not a 'race' so to speak on their own, vampires play a significant role within the world of Another Earth. Far from single minded, blood thirsty monsters of film and page, the vampires of Another Earth see themselves as the masters of undeath and the 'benefits' that come with such a state. Vampires mostly stay within the confines of their own Kingdoms in South and Central America, though some are known to travel to other parts of the world. It's not known where the vampiric bloodlines began but there have been traces in archaeological sites in Africa, Greece, Persia, and Europe dating back to antiquity.

THE LICH'S LAIR.
Here we have my third entry into the #halloweenhabitats25 and #letsbuildhalloween2 challenges over on Instagram! Again, continuing the theme of undead D&D enemies, we have a lich in his lair. I tried multiple tile patterns before eventually settling on this one, attempting to convey the grandiose taste of a creature that pursues eternal life/undeath. If there's one thing liches have, it's a flair for the dramatic, right? Collected in the lich's lair, we see a bit of everything, including some of his favorite trinkets, one of his favorite spells, a lovely still-life from one of his favorite artists, his grimoire with his nastiest and most profane magic, and of course, the captured souls of many adventurers which he'll use to one day feed his phylactery! Clearly, he's brought some more with thim, however--I wonder where he'll find the space to store them? As always, for lore: read on!
In the world of D&D, liches are powerful spellcasters who have taken on the mission to learn and conduct dark, unholy rituals that tether their soul permanently to their body, even after death. While their spirits inhabit their bodies, the flesh and its innards continue to rot away, leaving the lich with a rather macabre visage. They often dress themselves in fineries, which convey the quality of enlightenment they tend to claim they've achieved in their abominable state of being. Liches undergo the process of trapping their souls within a vessel known as a phylactery, which they often keep heavily guarded, or even hidden and inconspicuous, to avoid being destroyed by self-righteous heroes. To destroy a lich's phylactery is to destroy its safety net of regenerating after its physical form is slain. Thus, it is left vulnerable, and capable of being extinguished. A lich will fight with all its might to avoid having its broader ambitions cut short by a setback such as being slain again, and will employ devastating magic and traps to deter intruders that would infiltrate its lair.

Been a while since I’ve had a chance to order some more designs from Shapeways. I picked up my two latest designs, the Mask of Undeath, and the Matoran Kualsi, as well as my Mask of Serenity and RC’s Kakama. Plus, Boju got her staff at last... need to do some polishing on that one, but it’s got a very special feature I’m sure you guys will enjoy!
Even in undeath, Georgie the duchess hasn't lost her royal charm, it seems, but not everyone is convinced.
(I swapped Iyo's head with Chiyo's, and I like them much better with these heads. Chiyo looks a bit older now, and Iyo's head is slightly more proportionate (as proportionate as a chibi can be >.>)

A continuation of last night's post. In this shot, our intrepid party of adventurers encounters a serpent king. These undead reptiles are the mummified remains of serpent men rulers, found on rare occasions in the deepest and most secret of tombs. Serpent men venerate them as centuries-old nobles returned to set right the balance of the world, and once again lead the serpent race to domination over the mammalian peoples. But scholars dispute the intelligence of these dessicated beasts, and it's unclear if they are akin to a lich or a more mindless example of undeath.
The figure is a custom created from the Super7 Skeletor body and the repainted head of an old, beat-up Muscle Warriors figure.

In the shadow-cloaked halls of the Witherhold Citadel, Velrath stands as the last scion of a cursed bloodline. His gaze, burning with the fury of ancient thirst, pierces through centuries of betrayal and silence. Cloaked in black velvet stitched with roses that never wither, and adorned in a waistcoat of blood-red and gold threadwork, he is both monarch and monster. The air bends around him with reverence and fear. Candlelight dances across the sharpened planes of his face, revealing the timeless beauty of undeath — regal, wrathful, and eternally watchful.
Desert Chariots:
During the height of the reign of the ancient empire of man, the tactics that they employed in battle were unsurpassed, allowing them to sweep over their enemies like the shifting sands over desert bones. One of these tactics was the use of the chariot. Never before seen, the chariot was a revolutionary way to wage war on a destructive scale. The rare and highly valued horses were hitched to wheeled platforms that could traverse the battlefield at unimaginable speeds, outflanking and out fighting the enemy at every point on the field of battle.
When the Pharaohs awoke from their dark tombs and towering pyramids, the first units they employed to retake their old domains were chariots. Now pulled by daunting skeletal steeds and driven by elite veterans of the skeletal legions, the chariots are one of the most crucial aspects of the Desert Ancients battlefield prowess.
Able to outmatch regular cavalry in head to head combat and able to scythe through even the most elite infantry like a knife through sand, the chariots are a terror on the hot desert plains. Two skeleton veterans operate the structures of death, each one a towering visage of their impressive physical size and battlefield skill in life, now in undeath.
They wield ancient and impressive spears that are able to reach out and impale the foe on the razor sharp edges. One of the most impressive creations of man, the chariot is still feared among foes to this day.
It is the Age of Steam!
The Crew of the "SKY TERROR" are a wretched band of Zombie Pirates. Their Zeppelin reigns Torpedoes, bombs and death from above.
Lead by their Nefarious Captain "Oberon Black" they are the scourge of the English Channel .
They prey on the coal ship steamers which toil between England and France, consuming the brains of some of their captives while selling off the rest as cattle to their undead compatriots.
THE CREW
The Ships Brute – Kang
Blessed with limited intellect but fearsome strength and appetite, Kang is forced to wear a divers helm to stop him from eating all the prey the crew capture. His eagerness to get at lunch makes him the perfect one man boarding party. He acts as leader of the Vanguard, although slow he is nigh on unstoppable!
Gunner "Torpedo" Jim Jones.
Consigned to the lower reaches of the "Sky Terror" Torpedo cuts a lonely and forlorn figure. He passes his spare time painting murals on the ships ordinance. He is only truly happy when is he let above deck to polish his prized deck guns or better still to let them loose upon the living.
Captain Oberon Black
The captain suffers from the malaise of airsickness, an affliction which leaves him with the most unpleasant of attitudes.
A vile and treacherous individual, utterly ruthless, driven by a hatred of the living and a love of violence. Although he bears the scars from many battles he refuses to let Nurse Love assist him with the replacement of his missing limbs or eyeball. Instead he enjoys the extra malice that he can inflict with his saw hand and cast iron stomper leg. The Captain runs a tight ship and owns the most lucrative vessel in the meat trade.
Nurse Love
The mysterious Nurse Love was originally a prisoner aboard the "SKy Terror" she tried to tend the other prisoners when her ship was captured but alas she succumbed to a bite from one of her patients. Now in undeath she is tasked with the job of repairing and fixing up the crew of the "Sky Terror". sowing on a new digits here and there or back filling the holes in a sailors gut. A spinster in life she refuses to accept the same fate in death. She hopes to kindle a romance with the Captain. Seduced by the allure of his power and prestige, she has offered him her heart (and indeed several other peoples too) in an as yet unsuccessful attempt to woo him.
Master-Bosun Zim Sarson.
His eternal service to the Captain was forfeit after being tricked into signing a long term employment contract in life. Accursed are the department of Inhuman Pirate Resources! In death he seeks to replace the captain and put an end to his servitude. A troublesome crew member he is always undermining the captain and trying to put his oar in…

“When the last mask falls, only hunger remains.”
When the veil between life and undeath shatters, the vampire lord sheds his mortal guise and ascends into his truest shape — a skeletal titan crowned in shadow and flame. His chest burns with the Bloodstone Heart, a cursed jewel that pulses with the lifeblood of centuries. Beneath the scarlet moon, his fangs stretch into wicked talons of hunger, his armor fuses with bone, and his very presence commands the storm of bats and smoke.
This is no longer the count who prowls the castle halls — this is the Crimson Apex, the ultimate form of vampiric dominion. A nightmare not born, but forged from every soul he has devoured.
A second entry for the Magical Minifigures category of Brickscalibur.

Our members testify!
H. – Hailstone Harpy : “The only fair-feathered in a brood of dark hatchlings, I always struggled with body image issues. I worked hard to meet my flock’s standards, ambushing travellers and wiping out adventurers, but I was never taken seriously. Just because of my appearance. Because of my beautiful face and elaborate plumage, everyone thought I was good...Now thanks to the help of the AA, I have learned to accept myself as I am, and I’m no longer hurt by the judgement of my preys.”
S. – Serpentine Spymaster : “Life as an evil spellcaster is stressful, you know. You need to be constantly on alert and aware of what is going on around you – there’s always a threatening adventuring party or a treacherous underling somewhere behind you. That’s why I got eyes everywhere and all there is to know, my faithful snakes report it to me. With the AA, I can relax, chill and gossip around a cup of tea. It has become vital for my mental health.”
F. – Dark Elf Hexblade : “I have succeeded in life, rising through the ranks of the Empire by sheer willpower and ruthlessness. I learned everything by myself and, believe me, most of it I learned the hard way. All alone. Now a veteran, I believe in the importance of sharing experience with more junior dark lords – to allow them to learn from their forebears’ mistakes and grow stronger than we ever were!”
H. – Dark Elf Sorceress (with her manticore minion) : “I have been an imperial dungeon master for centuries, and the change in leadership that came with the coronation of the new Emperor left me utterly confused. My skills were not valued anymore. I felt like I was obsolete. The AA helped me to evolve and adapt to the new management. Now I’m back, as deadly as ever!”
G. – Ogre Lich : “Lichdom is an unusual career path for ogres. I was rejected by my tribe when I decided to embrace undeath, and it sent me into severe depression. Advice and support from other AA members proved essential to my recovery. They are my real family now!”
J. – Mind Flayer : “Huh? Me? Oh, don’t mind me. I’m just here for the free snacks. … The cookies, dear. I’m talking about the cookies.”
Lord Jack Archibald And Co. Projectile Firing Mechanics, Flying Apparatus, And Etc. most triumphantly and emphatically presents for your viewing, browsing, and purchasing pleasure:
The Eldritch Energy Repeating Raygun. Built for your safety in regards to the recent troubling awakening of various undesirables such as, but not limited to: the development of undeath in ones formerly deceased relations, the condition of unexpected lycanthropy of an individual in the nearby populace, or the advanced development of Vampirical disease causing unsafe late-night traveling experiences. While other companies have offered solutions to these nuisances to a gentleman's nightly stroll, as well as items of confidence for the effecting of fear this problem has afflicted upon the gentle ladies one may accompany. However only limited success has been found in our competitors charms, or in their limited over specialized weaponry. Silver, Sunlight, and Blessed artifacts are specific in their application, and to be prepared for anything requires the prepared civilized man to carry a burdensome amount of weaponry. The Engineers at Lord J. Archibald and Co. have solved this predicament by engineering a raygun tuned to all of the frequencies of eldritch energy that operate these foul creatures of the night. With the operation of this weapon, the handsome sir can be prepared for anything. And in addition to all of these admirable qualities possessed within this single apparatus, there is also the added assurance that, being specifically tuned to the undeath, there is minimal risk if accidentally fired upon a living companion, should one mistake their identity.
-(Warning, this is not guaranteed for all persons. The old, the sick, and the frightfully ugly have been known to experience great discomfort, injury, and often peculiar means of death when subjected to this weapon's output.)-
-Versions that are also tuned for the elimination of human threats are also available for an all encompassing defense package.
(A dignified individual of sharp intellect and a smart ready wit would be inclined to inspect this article within the comforts of the lightbox.)
(This same admirable and respectable gentleman would also be inclined to leave his astute and insightful opinion within the appropriately designated comment box. He may also deem it desirable and profitable to place his personal thoughts in notification upon the posted product.)
(In addition to this, said smart dressed suave mannered individual of fine and unique taste previously mentioned would be well suited to apply within at the Lord J. Archibald and Co. Offices about filling any vacancies within our prosperous and appealing workplace, should such a man fancy putting his hands and the sweat of his brow to the plow that is our weapons manufacturing. We would be happy to consort with minds of both old and new versions of the esteemed PMG program.)
Following his disastrous defeat on the isle of Punt Nui at the hands of Toa Chompshi, who destroyed his leg, Ballom barely escaped with his life. He eventually made his way to the land of Shakaz, where he found a curious Mask of Undeath...
A minor update to an old MOC for story purposes. (And man, looking at the old version, my photos sure have improved since then!)

Once the most infamous pirate alive, Roberts was captured and tortured to the brink of death by the evil Six Fingered Man for the relentless pursuit of his true love, Princess Buttercup. His closest friends brought his lifeless body to a witch doctor in hopes of bringing him back to life, but the witch doctor mistakenly gave him a transfusion of vampire blood! Now, in undeath, the Dead Pirate Roberts has returned to
Inixia, the Anmarist Goddess of War and Death
Followers of Anmarism believe in a pantheon of gods, including:
Tasien, the God of Balance and King of the Gods
Yonos, Goddess of Actions and the Physical Realm
Yoros, God of Emotions and the Ethereal Realm
Inixia, Goddess of War and Death
Those who take Inixia as their patron god believe strongly in the beauty of death, especially death in battle. All Anmarists believe that death is a door, and that life exists on both sides on that door, initially in the Physical Realm, and after death in the Ethereal Realm. Inixia is thus purely the god of death, and has no part in the afterlife or undeath.
Happy Halloween to everyone! Figured I'd post my Halloween inspired supervillain team for the occasion!
Alias: Cartouche
Real Name: N/A
Gender: Male
Alignment: Villain
Influenced By: Mummies
Backstory: Almost all information regarding Cartouche's former life has been lost. All that remains are a couple of journals that have been found. He was from an archaeologist family, with him tagging along most of the time. Unfortunately, he was quite sick, so his family searched for a cure in the Book of Life. During the ritual, Cartouche was locked inside a sarcophagus, wrapped in layers of cloth, where the cartouche would fuse onto his skin. The combination of the ritual with the books of life and death, and cartouche left him in a state of undeath. Neither living, nor dead. He could still feel the lingering pain from his sickness, but it wasn't as drastic as before. Unfortunately the ritual resulted in the pyramid collapsing upon itself, which killed his family, with his newfound abilities saving him. He would wander from town to town, with villagers only seeing him as a monster. They'd try to kill him, but failed in their attempts. The cloth now acting as an extension of himself, would be able to manipulate it anyway he saw fit. This is in addition to his new found durability, and enhanced strength. However, he is quite vulnerable to fire, and if somehow separated from the cloth, will most likely die.
Alias: Echo (Drained Soul)
Real Name: Eile Ni Daire
Alignment: Villain
Powers: powerlisting.fandom.com/wiki/Banshee_Physiology
Weaknesses: Salt, Iron, and her remains.
Influenced By: Mythological Banshees, Moira's Banshee skin in Overwatch,
Backstory: A banshee, whose wailing is an omen when death is about to arrive. Eile died due to a plague that had killed around 90 percent of the village she was living in at the time. It was at this time that she would become a Banshee. She was drawn to Cardinal City, with deaths occurring there when they weren't supposed to be. It was due to the conflict of these so called superheroes and supervillains that were the cause of it all. Echo grew malevolent as the years went on with her as a Banshee. There were so many, that cheated death, which she wailed about beforehand. Preying on the weak and vulnerable, Echo hunted them down, one by one.
Alias: Hex
Real Name: Myrna Delacroix
Gender: Female
Alignment: Villain
Influenced By: Witches (Including Marvel's Scarlet Witch), and the song Massacre by Kim Petras.
Backstory: Myrna's parents were from two different covens of witches, that found comfort in each other. They both lusted for power. The two covens would often cheat death, by doing certain rituals, which required sacrifices. Myrna as a child was ostracized by her classmates, blaming her for the death happening around them. Saying that she hexed them, or casted a death spell of some sort. Life for Myrna didn't get any better, as her parents would try to use her as a sacrifice, to extend their lifespan, absorbing her youth and power for themselves. Unfortunately for them, the ritual didn't go as planned, with Myrna killing half of the witches there. The banshee known as Echo would come for the rest, as they had cheated death one too many times. It was then that a friendship between the two was made, which lead to them eventually creating the Terrors.
Alias: Nightwalker

In recent years, he would encounter a witch calling herself Hex. She would find a way to control him, which led Malik to join the Terrors. Every Halloween, he, along with every other Terror, are released upon the streets of Cardinal City.
Alias: Cutthroat
Real Name: Jack Lanter
Gender: Male
Alignment: Villain
Powers: Short Ranged Teleport,
Influenced By: Headless Horseman, Jack O Lanterns, Slasher movie villains (Ghostface, Michael Myers, the like), Wrong Turn by Kim Petras
Backstory: A serial killer, who targets young women. Victims are found with their throats slit open, and stab wounds on their wrists, resembling a Jack O Lantern in shape and size. However, Cutthroat's proven to be quite clumsy at times, as several of his potential victims have survived his attacks, and even hurt him. Not much is known about Jack himself, and how he became so disturbed. Some of the victims account that he has taken off his head while chasing them. How that's even possible as a human is a mystery. Some theorize he's the reincarnation of Ghostface and the Headless Horseman combined, others assume he just has another superpower which allows him to do so.
"Onuka always dreamed of becoming a Toa, but when the day finally arrived, she still felt empty. She set off on her own, eventually finding herself in Nynrah, where she was finally able to rebuild herself into a more suitable form.
"But her new 'friends' were not so accepting. Their patience for her ran out, and in turn they decided she would suffer as long as they had. They removed her heartlight, but not before placing a Mask of Undeath on her face, drawing an urgent plea to continue helping where she could. She now wanders the universe as an empty husk of herself, doing good where she could find acceptance."
Um... yeah. I... decided to reboot Onuka on a pretty rough day. Feeling empty, doing the same things over and over... like a shambling corpse. I've long imagined Onuka as just that, but I'm finally starting to see her as her own (living) character.
"For now, perhaps. It is defeated, Lady Polly... but that creature came from a place of Undeath; killing something like that isn't so easy. I daresay it's tentacles are already reaching out, seeding our dreaming world with images of a black pyramid in the hope of finding one who will again give perfect form to the dream... and begin the nightmare anew."
The End.
Professor Champion, Lady Polly and Louis will return soon in 'Prisoner of the Vril"
Every 100 years the Grand Vizier summons forth the evil denizens of the Globe and from within his magic lamp.
.The Minotaur lives underneath his Palace and feeds on his slaves and prisoners = hefting his spiked battle axe he cleaves enemies from skull to sternum.
The Golden Man is an animated statue - though slow moving he is unrelenting and his trident has slain many a tiring warrior.
The Undead Spectre was an ogre in life and is now just as dangerous in undeath. Armed with two Broadswords and supernatural strength he is a deadly adversary.
The Ork cheiftain has come from the chaos wastelands of the South. Fearsome and savage he beats his opponents to a bloody pulp using spiked mace and cestus.
The Locusts Queen has no weapons other than her speed and mandibles. with the strength to bite a mans head off she is not to be underestimated.
The Final combatant is the Viziers most able champion, the Djinn - for a thousand years since the Vizier stole his lamp from Alladin, the Genie has served and murdered in his name.
The only thing scarier than a zombie is a clown zombie... even without the undeath these things scare the crap out of me!
Remember kiddies this is what you look like after eating too many Maccy D's ;-)
Done in Ai, Finalized in Photoshop
A cursed skeletal king crowned in frost and flame. His cracked bone face bears the mark of a thousand winters, while his burning red eyes stare from the abyss of undeath. Icy breath swirls through his black hood as the cold wind carries whispers of ancient oaths. Gilded armor glimmers with arcane gold — worn, but defiant. This is no mindless wraith, but a sovereign of silence and sorrow. Created in the shadows of inspiration and reimagined through the lens of myth, metal, and frost.

aka What I've been working on for the past few months :D
From left to right:
The Vespertine
A twisted and decaying priest of the Old Faith, the Vespertine long since ceased to be human when the roots of the forest claimed his soul as their own. He now stalks the forest as a fearsome tantamount to its power, with only the coarse rustle of dry leaves heralding his presence.

Born from the empty husk of a savage outlander who sold his soul in exchange for limitless strength, Ḁ̢̟̻͓̩̤̺͚̹͇̹̱̖̲͓̕͘͘͜z͏̸̭̰͉̪̘̭̲̣́͞ǫ͎͖̙̥̰̺͎̪̞̜̹̰̱̞͞ͅl̷̴̗̣̻̠̘̣̭͎̜̘̝̺͢u͘͏͍̫̬̗̝̥͔͇͍̥͈̱́t̸̵̷̠͖̦̲̳͎̼͡h̴̭̙͓̜̮̹̣̹̹̘͖̤̫̱͙̜͡'s wish was granted, but he was soon consumed with an insatiable bloodlust, driving him so slaughter his entire village as he was corrupted by demonflesh.
The Iron Priestess
Exiled from her home at a young age for witchcraft, the girl who would become known as the Iron Priestess abandoned all semblance of her humanity and took up residence in a strange forest, where the trees grew thorns of silver and the wolves teeth were edged with steel.
Lazarus, The Nosferatu
Lazarus was a young noble who lusted after the recklessness and vitality the eternal existence as a vampyr promised, and so struck a bargain with an ancient vampyr lord. Since realizing the true horror of the joyless drudgery of undeath, Lazarus now leads a hedonistic life (death?), slowly drowning his decaying flesh in drink and despair.
Gwendolyn Van Helsing
Hailing from a long line of monster hunters dating back centuries, Van Helsing swore to avenge her mother's death at the hands of a nosferatu and had since expanded her eternal hunt to encompass all creatures of everlasting darkness.
