Due to a technological advances photography nowadays cannot be considered the unconditional documentation tool and photographer isn‘t anymore a necessity for it to happen. Thanks to such tools like satellites, drones, street view, etc., it‘s not even necessary to get on location to capture it. As a consequence, every landscape photograph can be considered just a senseless digital record made by someone.
Despite being a visual mark, artificial lightning in landscape photography becomes a sensual link between the viewer and photographer.
I wanted to visit the spookiest places in my city and convey the atmosphere of explorations through the totally different approach.
Project ‘Been there’ explores the industrial periphery of Vilnius at night. A series of photos depict the intersection of time and space, which is very intriguing yet so scary for a random person to explore. The red light, creating the surreal, cinematographic plot is used to hyperbolize the senses that are triggered by those places. Vibrant light becomes a visual expression of the mental state that I was accompanied by while wandering around totally alone.

This is a little film that I made today and set to one of my favourite piano pieces. I've been missing my piano in the countryside, but am planning to bring it back to my seaside home as soon as my music room is completed; a project that I began before I fell ill. I had this idea for sometime now to speak one of my poems. I hope you enjoy it as much as I enjoyed making it.
I am taking a short break from posting. My health is improving and I am enjoying my life; making plans and looking forward at last. I will pop in and out when I can. Enjoy your lives my dear friends and see you again soon, lots of love, Poppy xoxo

RETURN TO INNOCENCE
Returning to a life of innocence
learned all I can for now
rehung the apple on the tree
freed the fatted cow
leave the fig leaves where they are
taste the fruit so sweet
more sweetness yet to explore
leave behind the busy street
follow the road wherever it leads
don't worry if it seems to curve
many stops along the way
many obstacles to swerve
embracing all the joys life brings
put my finger to my lips
silence my delicious secrets
flying high and sailing ships
if you miss me while I'm gone

no matter what I do
but I'm a gypsy and I've stayed
too long now in this place

writing poetry in motion
spontaneity is my bread and butter

gives me wings; keeps me believing
and I will return to you my friends
and find my true ones still
waiting for me and loving me
as I know you always will

In life, it is our nature to obey rules and regulations, but when we use them to inflict excessive guilt...it is a sign to move past them. They are guides that is certain and beautiful, but they are only guides. When we move past them, we can see their beauty and purpose. Since, I will never be perfect, what use is it to dwell on some defect, if I let myself become their slave.

This is the photograph that I finally chose to be present at this Art Exhibition. This a double exposure made with Cristina Valadas positioned on both sides of her painting "In the intimacy of the womb", which I think illustrates what Unconditional Love is.

Anyone who has a pet knows they give their love unconditionally. Shizandra is a very special gift! She is a very affection gal and we love her to pieces!
This melts me.
The love and the bond these cats have is truly something that needs to be witnessed.
Seeing and hearing the vocalizations of the cubs calling to Misty and Misty to the cubs is something beyond special.
Misty is so attentive to her cubs and Amari that I barely see her rest anymore. i think she must take 10 minute cat naps because she is constantly walking doing head counts that everyone is still where they should be.
If the cubs play too rough with each other or lose sight of Misty they call to her and she goes running.
I feel incredibly honored to be able to witness these behaviours and there is not a second I take it for granted.
He was 19 and she was 16 when they fell in love 50 years ago this Year.
Life has had its ups and downs but even to this day you can still see the ever growing love they share for each other.

We think things that happen in our lives are coincidences
But is life built up by coincidences
I don't actually think so
I think if we are reaching out when we feel it's what we need to do
That is in this case, following our intuition
