As I was playing around on the computer, testing out the iMac's photobooth application, my dog Snoops came up to me and planted a kiss on me. Just like that, out of the blue.
Proud I've taken such shot of this enigmatic statue. This photo was taken in the Sculpture Garden in City Park. Karma is an amazing 23-ft. stainless steel sculpture by Korean artist Do-Ho Suh.
"The sculpture features a male figure surmounted by a seemingly endless chain of alter egos, rising into the sky like a silver spinal column. The string of figures is faceted like a gemstone, lending a glittering digital effect to the strange tower. Each iteration of the man is holding his hands over the eyes of the man who precedes him." (Doug MacCash)
What this statue transmits to me is a feeling of being lost, a not open minded ego, which unconditionally leads to the fear of oblivion. The fear of being forgotten and slowly dissolving up in the sky. The statue's series of alter egos represent the slow pattern of oblivion.

FLICKR!!!!!!!!! Its been so long! As you can probably tell, I am here in America with senor Nace - and oh my days so much has happened!!!!
I flew in on saturday (6 whole days ago, i am ashamed to say) from manchester to chicago. I met a really really kind guy called Jon at manchester airport, we watched movies before the flight boarded and we helped each other change terminals at Chicago. I took a sleeping pill on the plane but it did jack shit because I WAS TOO EXCITED!!!!! I arrived at Raleigh, NC late saturday evening and met my baby at the airport, we headed home with some fried chicken and fell asleep in bed pronto.
The next day we decorated Aaron's house FULL of paper chains and christmas lights and paper snowflakes - just like in ELF.
We got a christmas tree and went shopping at Jareds! ;)
THEN we headed out to South Carolina for a few days with some friends Joe and Caroline! We forgot to bring internet but rented home alone and this photo was taken on Joe's dock - he has a boat and we went riding in it and it was AWESOME! we saw dolphins and pelicans and i saw my first palm tree!!! it was soooo hot and my hair went so frizzy but we had so much fun!
now we are back home after a great vacation and are going to get back to WORK! that is, we are going to take 365s everyday and not appear to be dead to everyone who doesnt know where we are.
i am just so happy to be here with my aaron. i missed him SO much!

One of the most photographed statues in Florida, if not America, is a 26-foot tall statue that calls Sarasota home. It commemorates the famous photo that appeared in LIFE magazine of a young U.S. sailor dipping and kissing a nurse in Times Square on the day World War II ended. The statue, Unconditional Surrender, is part of a series of statues created by American artist Seward Johnson and can today be found in Sarasota's Bayfront Park. This statue pays homage to the "Greatest Generation" and the joyful celebrations at the end of the war.

1 Brothers, my heart's desire and prayer to God for the Israelites is that they may be saved. 2 For I can testify about them that they are zealous for God, but their zeal is not based on knowledge. 3 Since they did not know the righteousness that comes from God and sought to establish their own, they did not submit to God's righteousness. 4 Christ is the end of the law so that there may be righteousness for everyone who believes.
5 Moses describes in this way the righteousness that is by the law: "The man who does these things will live by them." 6 But the righteousness that is by faith says: "Do not say in your heart, 'Who will ascend into heaven?'" (that is, to bring Christ down) 7 "or 'Who will descend into the deep?'" (that is, to bring Christ up from the dead). 8 But what does it say? Jesus came to bring spiritual LIFE to the spiritually dead and set the captives FREE! FREE from RELIGION, ERROR and outright LIES, so WE might serve THE LIVING GOD! In SPIRIT and in TRUTH!
So you'll KNOW, and not think you're to bad for God to love. The Christian LIFE isn't about how good WE are, because NONE of us are! It's about how GOOD JESUS IS! Because JESUS LOVES US, so much he died in our place and took the punishment for all of our sins on himself. The wages of sin is DEATH, and Jesus took the death WE so richly deserved for us and died in our place. The good news is, there's no more punishment for sin left. WE, you and I were all born forgive as a result of the crucifixion of God himself on the cross that took away the sins of the whole world. All we have to do is believe it, and put your Faith in the finished work of Jesus Christ. That my friends is REAL UNCONDITIONAL LOVE! YOU ARE LOVED. ❤️ ✝️ ❤️

You can't understand it if you never had a dog (sorry all cat owners)

There is no perfect love like this shot except God's unconditional love.
There can be painful process to make our love closer to perfect one but at the end we all going to be happy together.

The "Unconditional Surrender" statue of a sailor and nurse kissing will be moved from San Diego to New Jersey after Memorial Day, loaned to San Diego in 2007 by the Sculpture Foundation, where it will undergo maintenance before the roughly 6,000-pound sculpture and its 24,000-pound base will be shipped to New Jersey according to the Port of San Diego. "This is kind of a bittersweet day for Americas Finest City"
If ever life one is fortunate enough to have the realization of a soulmate, this little guy is mine, We've been together now for 16 years. He's certainly lived up yo his name "Zigfield the Great".
There is definitely truth in the old saying, 'a dog is a man's best friend". There is also something to be said about the time your best friend and soulmate surpasses you in years and becomes your elder.
I have the greatest respect for this soulful critter, for his teachings, quiet ways, playful demeanour and watchful eye as we've grown together over the years.
He will certainly always be with me even after he's left this world and moved on.
His life and unconditional LOVE will be what I am left with to celebrate always, knowing that perhaps our souls will join again in some other adventure, on some other plane in the universal dimension of time. I am most grateful and blessed indeed!

"Unconditional Surrender" is a series of sculptures by Seward Johnson resembling a photograph by Alfred Eisenstaedt, V–J day in Times Square, but said by Johnson to be based on a similar, less well known, photograph by Victor Jorgensen.
Since the fireworks have been cancelled this year, I created my own! I made this photography (7/1/2020) when I saw this couple recreating the iconic pose of the “Unconditional Surrender” statue. I composited the fireworks in post production and thus you have life imitating art.
In light of today's social distancing, quarantine and self isolation, sometimes we all yearn for that human touch.
