"Unconditional Surrender" is a 25-foot sculpture by Seward J. Johnson that brings to life a famous black and white image of a sailor kissing a young nurse in Times Square, New York City, on August 14, 1945. The image captures the spontaneous eruption of joy and euphoria that swept a war-weary nation when the public announcement was finally made that World War II was over.
The kissing couple sculpture is being photographed by group of tourists at Seaport Village in San Diego, CA. This sculpture titled "Unconditional Surrender" will be removed from the Embarcadero next month.

On April 1, 2012 was the theme "Come in the greenhouse", a possibility to look around in many greenhouses with different cultivations. Near the village of Made (North-Brabant, Netherlands) large complexes of greenhouses are heated partially with "waste heat" generated in Essent's Amer Power Station in the nearby village of Geertruidenberg. The hot water is transported to the greenhouses through thick underground tubes.

Love is any of a number of emotions and experiences related to a sense of strong affection and attachment. Familial love (Father/Daughter) is one that is committed, unconditional, selfless, emotionally full.
I love you without knowing how, or when, or from where. I love you straightforwardly, without complexities or pride; so I love you because I know no other way than this.

This 25' cast aluminum sculpture certainly has an interesting history, both here in Sarasota as well as elsewhere. Plenty of details (some confusing to me) here.
Rather than an original work, this seems to be a copy of the famous "Life" magazine photo shot in Times Square on VJ Day. This has caused some difficulty for Sarasota, which apparently restricts public art display if it isn't original. There is a similar sculpture in Times Square that is protected by copyright. The sculptor, Seward Johnson, has claimed this is based on a different photo which is in the public domain.
One other thing... an out-of-control driver plowed into the sculpture in 2012, causing about $600,000 in damage. Seems like it's a permanent fixture here now, but, who knows?
This young shrike was a guest in my house for some weeks. It fell out of a nest in a high oak, and I found it on a walk. It slowly started eating in my house and then finally flow away some weeks later. It returned a couple of times.
It was happy to sit on my finger and we strolled the garden every day, looking at all the exiting little things under the wonderfully large sky. It loved to be scratched on the neck.

Sometimes I shave my legs and sometimes I don't
Sometimes I comb my hair and sometimes I won't
Depend on how the wed blows I might even paint my toes
It really just depends on whatever feels good in my soul
I'm not the average girl from your video
and I ain't built like a supermodel
But, I Learned to love myself unconditionally
Because I am a queen
I'm not the average girl from your video
My worth is not determined by the price of my clothes
No matter what I'm wearing I will always be India Arie
When I look in the mirror the only one there is me
Every freckle on my face is where it's supposed to be
And I know our creator didn't make no mistakes on me
My feet, my thighs, my lips, my eyes I'm lovin' what I see
I'm not the average girl from your video
and I ain't built like a supermodel
But, I Learned to love myself unconditionally
Because I am a queen
I'm not the average girl from your video
My worth is not determined by the price of my clothes
No matter what I'm wearing I will always be India Arie
Am I less of a lady If I don't wear panty hoes?
My mama said ain't what she wears but, what she knows
But, I've drawn a conclusion, it's all and illusion confusions the name of the game
A misconception, a vast deception
Something's gotta change
Don't be offended this is all my opinion
ain't nothing that I'm sayin law
This is a true confession of a life learned lesson I was sent here to share wit ya'll
So get in where you fit in go on and shine
Free your mind, nows the time
Put your salt on the shelf
Go head and love yourself
Cuz everything's gonna be all right
I'm not the average girl from your video
and I ain't built like a supermodel
But, I Learned to love myself unconditionally
Because I am a queen
I'm not the average girl from your video
My worth is not determined by the price of my clothes
No matter what I'm wearing I will always be India Arie
Keep your fancy drinks and your expensive minks
I don't need that to have a good time
Keep your expensive car and your Caviar
All I need is my guitar
Keep your krystyle and your pistol
I'd rather have a pretty piece of Crystal
Don't need your silicon I prefer my own
What God gave me is just fine
I'm not the average girl from your video
and I ain't built like a supermodel
But, I Learned to love myself unconditionally
Because I am a queen

Just such a beautiful shot. I was playing with the samyang 85/1.4 on D3200. Even with the focusing aid, I was missing a lot of shots. But as I was reviewing the photos, this one stood out.
Yes, there are imperfections. The man in the foreground and the dark shadows on the right. Easily fixed with cropping.
But the photo just feels so right. So warm, so fuzzy.
