It was a sunny Sunday in 2004, sitting at my desk playing Maple Story with the blinds open, and I was listening to Green Day’s “Holiday” and “Boulevard Of Broken Dreams” on repeat. It’s a pure, simple memory, and one that is still so vivid to me to this day.
Now, 15 years later, I have made a lot of different memories and my taste in music has expanded, but my core likes and dislikes remain pretty much the same: “Boulevard Of Broken Dreams” is still a playlist favorite. But, like I mentioned, time has passed and it’s time for an update. Queue Sullivan King.
The long-haired metal and bass hybrid machine has grabbed Billie Joe Armstrong’s original idea by the horns and given it an EDM remix for the ages. Coming from Sully, happy hardcore is the last thing we expected but it works so. damn. well. The usual melancholic tone of “BOBD” is transformed and transposed to a more uplifting sonic experience, and, rather than throwing my fist up in a bout of teenage angst, I’m grinning from ear to ear and bouncing around my office like a happy fool.

The first time I heard “Boulevard Of Broken Dreams” was the first time I associated melancholy emotion with music and I didn’t know what the hell was going on, but it was so powerful.” – Sullivan King
Still, if you’re hoping for a bit of a harder sound, you won’t be disappointed if you stick it out until the end.

REVEALED: Kriti Sanon replaces Taapsee Pannu in this John Abraham starrer and here’s the reason
Just a few days ago, there were reports about John Abraham and Taapsee Pannu coming together for the first time for a thriller. But it seems that audiences will have to wait for a little longer to see these stars together on screen, since we now hear that Taapsee has been replaced Kriti Sanon in the film.
The film in question, that is adaptation of the Spanish film The Invisible Guest, will now feature Kriti Sanon who will share screen space with John Abraham for the first time. However, unlike most of the times, when a replacement is a result of date clashes and choc-o-block schedules, this time around, it is mainly due to difference of opinion. The makers were in a dilemma about the actress and it was finally zeroed in on Kriti Sanon.
It so happened that, the producers of the film which is JA Entertainment [John Abraham’s production house] as well as Sunir Kheterpal were keen on taking Taapsee Pannu as the leading lady after Sunil recommended her name. Kheterpal had apparently approached the actress long ago promising to make her a part of the film much before the others came on board.
The ‘others’ in question is KriArj Entertainment who decided to take Kriti Sanon on board. After a series of discussions between the producers, it was finally decided to have Kriti on board as they agreed of her being the apt choice for the same. It seems that the founders of KriArj, Prernaa Arora and Arjun N Kapoor are quite impressed with Kriti and her performance in Bareilly Ki Barfi and have even went on sign her for another film.
On the other hand, coming to the remake of The Invisible Guest, the film is expected to roll by the end of this year. As for the rest of the details, we yet await the announcement.

Rajkummar Rao to grow a beard for Aishwarya Rai Bachchan in Fanney Khan
The very talented Rajkummar Rao who turned 30 this month will be romancing the very beautiful Aishwarya Rai Bachchan who crossed 40 last year. The film Fanney Khan to be helmed by debutant director Atul Manjrekar, selected Rajkummar Rao who is seen as kind of a steady actor who stands out even when the female protagonist has a strong part.
While Rajkummar Rao and Aishwarya Rai Bachchan do make for an interesting combination, there is a slight practical problem regarding their 10-year age difference. But nothing that a bit of facial hair can’t alter. We hear Rajkummar will grow a beard to look compatible with his co-star rather than a fanboy which Raj admits to being.
Says the forthright Bareilly Ki Barfi actor, “I am super-excited, really happy to be working with her (Aishwarya). I’ll start preparing for my part in Fanney Khan the moment I am done shooting for my film on Subhas Chandra Bose.”
Years ago when Shah Rukh Khan faced the same compatibility issue with his favourite Sridevi in the film Army, he had pasted a moustache on his face to add years to his biological age. Never again did Shah Rukh use fake facial hair, as he hates disguises and makeup.

OMG! CBFC asks Varun Dhawan to get NOC from Alia Bhatt for Judwaa 2
Wait, this is not a joke. Varun Dhawan can’t talk about his dear friend Alia Bhatt without a NOC (No Objection Certificate) from her. Not on screen anyway. So director David Dhawan and producer Sajid Nadiadwala discovered when in their forthcoming funny fest Judwaa 2 the leading man Varun Dhawan makes a passing reference to Alia Bhatt.
The censor board’s request left Dhawan and Nadiadwala nonplussed. “They wanted an NOC from Alia Bhatt before she can be mentioned in Judwaa 2. Nadiadwala and Dhawan argued that Alia was a buddy of Varun and therefore quite cool with being mentioned in Judwaa 2 or anywhere else by Varun. But the censor board was adamant. Friend or foe, you have to get an NOC from all living persons who are mentioned in film,” says a source close to the development who was barely able to control his laughter.
Not only Alia Bhatt, but Alia’s father Mahesh Bhatt is also mentioned in Judwaa 2. The film’s producer and director must get an NOC from both father and daughter. Maybe catch them both over dinner?
Wait. We are not done yet. The Judwaa 2 team must also get an NOC from actress Poonam Dhillon because she too is mentioned in passing.

Dillon Francis dropped his wildly popular This Mixtape Is Fire EP in 2015, a year after he dropped his debut album Money Sucks, Friends Rule. Containing collaborations with Calvin Harris, Skrillex, Kygo, Chromeo, and Bro Safari, along with a Party Favor remix, it remains one of Dillon’s strongest collections of tracks.
Now, following the release of his divisive sophomore album WUT WUT, it seems a sequel is in order.
“New music for This Mixtape Is Fire 2,” Dillon tweeted, in response to a fan question about a song on his Snap story. That was enough to send fans into a frenzy with dozens of tweet replies and a thread on Reddit. The tweet has since been deleted, but see it below.
As if the tweet wasn’t enough, Dillon actually popped into the aforementioned Reddit thread and announced, “Back on my bullshit. Get Ready”

In a press release this morning, we learn the Rapide AMR will be limited to 210 examples and offered in three versions: Standard, Silhouette, and Signature.
CEO Andy Palmer said: “AMR takes technology and inspiration from our motorsport programme to amplify the sporting prowess in our road cars which is clear to see in the Rapide AMR, Aston Martin’s most extreme, 4-door sports car. With enhanced performance, sharper dynamics and more powerful design language, Aston Martin has taken Rapide to new and exciting extremes.”

Your garden is your prized possession and you want it to outshine any other in the neighborhood. Hence, your landscaper needs to get all the essentials right. One important aspect to consider in this context is planting rightly in your garden. There is much more to planting than just digging a sapling into the soil. Planting a tree is a process which once begun from a small plant continues onward till it reaches taller heights and still goes on. Following are some basic planting tips for your garden:
Preparing the Soil
It all starts from digging a hole into the soil to hold the roots of the tree. The hole should be broad enough to allow the roots to spread in the future times to come. The soil should be cleared of grass in three feet area of diameter.
Test the soil to decide whether it is compacted or clay type and choose plants best suited to that type. Hardy plants grow well in soils with poor drainage or those having clay content. You can add gypsum to your dug hole for tackling poor drainage issue.
Your gardener can otherwise change the clay soil into an almost workable soil by composting it. The other option is to get better soil from elsewhere and make a wide mound of earth to plant your tree into. Clayed soil should be reworked a little earlier to your planting date. The surface of your hole should then be roughly evened around the sides.
Basic Steps to Planting
Remove the tree from its container: Remove the tree from its wrapping carefully without causing harm to the root ball.
Confirm the hole’s depth requirements: The tree should be set into the hole in such a way that root flare lies at the soil level. Avoid planting the tree deep down into the hole as that will shorten its life.
Put the tree into the hole: The roots of the tree should be easily spread out within the hole. Any damaged, encircled roots need to be cut off.
Place dirt around: Cover the hole with dirt and stomp it to make a firm surface. Compost the surface soil in and around the young tree and avoid adding fertilizer or peat moss to it immediately.
Watering requirements: Water the tree immediately after planting in case the soil is dry and also for ensuring its final settling. This is essential for the tree to survive.
Add mulch: Mulch the soil surface around the young tree for about four inches deep. This allows the nutrients to be released gradually and thus thwart competition. But, ensure that the mulch does not touch the tree trunk.
Staking only if necessary: The normal circumstances for the roots and trunk to grow strong is through natural flexing. Staking can be done for the first year when the roots are on their way to getting strong and firm. However, ensure that the ties are not tight so as to prevent movement and damage to the trunk.
Build dirt dam: Form a round shaped dam of dirt around the external edge of the planting area so that water gets retained in the basin formation. It is essential to water your trees in the first couple of years and in the course of a drought.
Post Planting Care
Your garden care does not get over just by planting trees and watering them in the initial years. You need to look after their health just like humans; pamper them with mulch, manure and fertilizer when the need arises and you will see them grow tall and beautiful.

Opera Nightclub in Atlanta is under scrutiny after a woman allegedly live streamed herself being raped on the dance floor of the club and no one came to her aid. The incident happened Saturday, January 19, as New Orleans rapper August Alsina was performing.
The woman, who has made the videos public, has been identified as Jasmine Eiland. She was live streaming on her Facebook throughout the night, according to public posts, during which time she was approached by a stranger. The man asked if she was alone, to which she replied that she was. The man walked off screen and later returned with a drink for Eiland — judging by her behavior on stream the rest of the night, it’s believed the drink had been drugged. No toxicology report has been issued to confirm this suspicion.
Multiple separate live streams were posted throughout the night, including one of the alleged rape, which has since been deleted and handed over to police as evidence.
According to Ravers Choice, which viewed the video before it was removed, “She can be seen on the dance floor, with her breasts out, and the same man that had retrieved a drink for her is penetrating her from behind while she is screaming out ‘Help me, please god, someone do something’ with tears streaming down her face.”
Opera Nightclub posted the following statement earlier today.
This is not the first time that Opera has been in the news in recent months. Late last year, Opera staff was accused of extorting patrons who’d already paid for tickets to a show, demanding upwards of $100 on top of what they’d already paid for a ticket to get in. Opera Atlanta Director of Marketing Alexandra Trawick reached out to EDM.com to explain that the offending staff had been dealt with, and that the behavior did not “reflect their principles.”
The fact that no security or staff was able to view an alleged rape in progress, or were otherwise pre-occupied or unable to help, is no good, either.
We’ll be keeping a close eye on this situation as more information becomes available.

According to the AAA Foundation for Traffic Safety, a car infotainment system will demand the attention of a driver as much as trying to balance a checkbook while driving.
AAA researchers worked with well-known safety researchers at the University of Utah, a leader in distracted driving studies.
Ratings were determined by measuring demands that took eyes off the roads, the mental demand of using the infotainment systems and how long it took drivers to complete their tasks.
Researchers classify the infotainment systems as causing low, moderate, high and very high demands on drivers.
Out of the latest 10 vehicles tested, none of the infotainment systems cause "low" demands on drivers, equated with listening to the radio or an audiobook. But six systems create "very high" demands on drivers equal to trying to balance their checkbooks while driving.
Considering you double your risk of crashing if you take your eyes off the road for just two seconds, the infotainment results are depressing for highway safety.
Researchers learned that performing navigation tasks can take your attention away for 48 seconds. But at just 25 mph, a vehicle could travel the length of three football fields before a driver would bring their attention back to the road.

I am a RDH and am employed by an orthodontist. He texted us clinic girls on Tuesday saying he was swamped with emergencies but in reality it’s like 4 people.
One of the girls went in that afternoon and all he had her come in for was to set up his station, take down, and sterilization. He is not screening patients and nobody is wearing a face mask when they enter the office. Our dentist told her not the punch in. He received the PPP loan and is currently paying us 32 hours a week because he has to (and I work more than 32 hours a week). I don’t understand why we aren’t punching in because we are there working and technically we are still under stay at home order so we aren’t even supposed to be in the office at all. We officially reopen May 29 (Michigan) with no lightness in the schedule which is 78 patients a day. I am not excited to go back to work because I am POSITIVE we are all going to contract COVID 19 despite all of our PPE.

WOW! Salman Khan joins hands with Ashwin Varde, Murad Khetani; to launch newcomers in their film
Salman Khan Films is on a roll. Despite the debacle of Tubelight, Salman Khan is gearing up to launch multiple films under his home production. One film will launch Aayush Sharma, his brother-in-law, who married his sister Arpita in November 2015. An official announcement for this film will be done soon.
However, what many are not aware is that Salman Khan is also producing one more film, which is also reported to launch new faces. This film will be a co-production between Murad Khetani and Ashwin Varde. Both the actor and the actress will be newcomers and the trio is in the process of finalizing the script and director.
This is not the first time that Salman Khan Films is launching debutants. Right after their first film Bajrangi Bhaijaan in 2015, the production house unveiled Hero in the same year, and it starred newbies Sooraj Pancholi and Athiya Shetty. The film however underperformed at the box office. Murad Khetani meanwhile has produced the recently released Mubarakan, Manish Paul’s debut film Mickey Virus and Akshay Kumar-Lisa Haydon starrer The Shaukeens. Ashwin Varde was also one of the producers on Mubarakan and The Shaukeens and in addition to that, he had also co-produced Akshay Kumar’s comedy action film Boss in 2013.
