This flag has been a feature of a house in the small town of Pleasant Grove since 9/11. I'd like to add to this image a little personal history. I am a direct descendent of an artillery solder who took part in the final battle of the Revolution at Yorktown. His journal still exists. It reads (with his spelling): Book kept by William Mavity, Sergeant Major of the 2nd Battalion in the 4th Regiment of the American Army at Yorktown. Camp at Springfields Sept 28th 1781.
Our men marched down to York and the Rifle men and French Infantry attacked the British out lines and took their works which Deprived them of Pasture and occationed them to kill their horses and on the 29th our Rifle men Drove them into their main works and General Washington with the Grand Army appeared before York and pitched their camp in veiw of the Enemies works about a mile Distant and Emediately laid Close siege to their whole Garison both by sea and land and Entrenched and Raisd Bateries without firing a shot till the Eight of Oct. when we had three Batteries opened and Began to play furiously upon the Enemy and Silenced their fire which they kept Continually Pouring upon our men while they were fixing their works and on the 14th at night our men made an Atackt on the Emenies REdouts where they kept their Picket Guard and Stormed them with a Considerable Loss and made a Great Carnage with the Enemy and took 59 prisoners wounded 45 and took several stands of arms we had 1 Colonel 2 Captains and 40 Rank & file killed and 1 Major and 20 wounded and the 15th at night our men made a Trench in conjunction with the Redoubts that they had taken from the Enemy, within 200 yards of the Enemies lines, and Raised 3 Bateries and they began to mount their Canon but the Enemy came upon our and Drove them out of the works took possession of our Grand Batery and spiked 6 pieces of our Canon but the French came up and Drove them off and killed several & took Eight and on the 16th we finished our works and on the 1th our Gun Batery Began to play very heavy and the Enemy sent a flag for terms of capitulation, and on the 18th the flags Continued and on the 19th they marched out with the Honors of War.
I watched the first Eastrail 177 movie last weekend and it was really good I am going to make the 2 other movies after I've seen them but for now here are 2 figs from Unbreakable
The derelict L-shaped pier in Cardwell Bay does not appear on maps produced prior to World War II, indicating that it was purpose built by the Admiralty to service warships at anchor in the Firth of Clyde. After the war, it was used as an overnight mooring place for Admiralty boats, and as a terminal for liberty boats from the US submarine base in the Holy Loch. A concrete building on the west corner of the pier served as the station for the Gourock section of the USN shore patrol, responsible for ensuring those on liberty did not become too rowdy. Adjacent to the station, a line of bus-type shelters ran along the pier, protecting the sailors from the Scottish weather while they waited to return to their base. The metal frame of one shelter still stands to the east of the shore patrol building. A wooden hut, painted grey, stood on the concrete jetty leading to the pier, and was the office of the MoD police responsible for pier security.

The Toyota Hilux has long been one of the best selling pickup trucks in Australia and globally. A reputation for being unbreakable, the key selling point.
Australia is a tough country, and Toyota has dominated rural markets with the Hilux and other rough-terrain vehicles.
The gents (foolish gents) at the BBC TopGear team thought they would see what it would take to actually kill a Toyota Hilux, with some astounding results.
Note, this was way back in Season 3, so you might not recognise them....

Ok so I admit I have a clothes shopping habit (shoes too). I think I will be going to a support group that addresses this problem. But I feel the need to get a cute NEW outfit for my first time going to the group. Don't you too?

4th Image from Cornwall. Personally I'm missing the MAC and feel the processing power of this laptop screen is making me miss things, like the occasional dust spot etc.
Oh well. This image, taken this evening during an overcast sunset is at Mullion Cove on the South West tip of Lizard Point. A cruel wind was making things very tricky, espeacially on a slippy harbour wall attempting long exposures. I survived nonetheless to bring this image, my favourite of the set thus far.

Creating a Unbreakable Toa
Toa Bomonga's devastating jet powered Level 10 hammer.
this powerful and very durable hammer hits hard and fast with a deadly blow, leaving a creator as its name implies, rock and earth crumble into smaller chunks or even dust, water explodes from the rushed and violent impact, wind bellows from the intense pressure crashing down, a sonic boom reaches the heavens and miles on land, hitting its target with great force
Bomonga
Kanohi: Obelisk (Mask of Growth)
Element: Stone, Sand & Iron Sand
Weapon: Level 10 Meteor Breaker Hammer
(Originally larger but decided to tone it done in size to be lighter and easier to use.
would be a level 20 hammer with the extra weight of the the second head)
Powers: Bending the earth
Sand bending & creating dry storms
creating towers of stone
side effects: chance of rust, slowness and increased weight
able to retreat & hide in the the sand & stone in perfect stealth
Bomonga spent his matoran days as a builder, carving and often finding treasure and ore he would use in forging stronger better weapons & armor for himself, his fellow villages and other villages in need. he took his duty very seriously and with pride, like Hafu and a few other hard working matoran of each tribe, some helping him set up shop. often he would go adventuring away from his shop and village, finding more and new material to work with, trade & make repairs if needed, if he found a favorite dig-site or some place that was worth his time, he would honor it with a statue of his image or a highlight of the surrounding area. Bomonga's life would change one day, new doors would open, his skills great as they are would improve greatly with new ability's and powers, the Stone Artist matoran would face his destiny when he unearthed a strange stone he only heard from stories long past, a mysterious stone radiating with power, glowing from the cracks hidden under rock, most likely forgotten by the makuta or piraka, Bomonga reached for the stone, it glowed intensely before it faded and absorb into his hand, it continued as it flowed up his arm and through his whole body as it grew and transformed into a new and stronger generation of Toa.
As a Toa, Bomonga took great care in being stealthy as a hunter, one in heavy armor & a heavy duty hammer may seem strange, but he knows his new life isnt a game, Bomonga treasures his life. relying on his gear and knowledge are his best and sharpest tools.
