I used to work with painting on glass, china, paper... I meant a creative job was always important to me.

In this new phase I feel the necessity of find some details to add to my photos. I'm discovering how amused is work with Photoshop, despite of doing only some things with it until now. So, sorry for the montages with questionable taste.

I used to be angry at my friend Doug for skipping rocks in Moraine Lake on an unreal day... I'm starting to change my mind on the subject haha. September 30th of last year remains one of my most memorable days for moments captured like this.

A lollipop is a kind of candy that consists of hard sugar that has been melted on a stick with glucose.

The sugar is usually brightly colored and also contains flavourings , for example a synthetic flavoring that resembles strawberry , cherry or orange . Sometimes the sugar is transparent, sometimes cloudy or completely opaque. Variants of the lollipop are the licorice lollipop or salmia lollipop, cola lollipop and the chewing gum lollipop. Also exists the popsicle, which is made of water ice .

The house may look like a 19th century Italian palazzo, but in reality this house began as, and still is, a research institution and it was inaugurated in 1933 under the name Scuola Romena di Roma. The house is designed by the architect Petre Antonescu.

This is one of several institutes and academies, focusing on research in the humanities that can be found not just in Rome, but this part of Rome. The neighbours are Academia Belgica, Reale Istituto Neerlandese, Istituto Svedese di Studi Classici (where I was staying at the time), Accademia d’Egitto di Belle Arti and Accademia di Danimarca - and The British School at Rome is at a close distance (as are several others). But while most (if not all) of the other institutes have worked continuously as just that since their founding, the Romanian Academy has had a more diverse history. It was completely closed 1947-1969 and left to decay, and when it reopened it was as a Romanian library and culture centre. After 1989 it renamed itself Accademia di Romania a Roma and in 2005 it was re-admitted into the official organization for the foreign research institutes in Rome.

... used as a spice for thousands of years

Woah, ah, mercy, mercy me

Ah, things ain't what they used to be (ain't what they used to be)

Where did all the blue skies go?

Poison is the wind that blows

From the north and south and east

Woah mercy, mercy me, yeah

Ah, things ain't what they used to be (ain't what they used to be)

Oil wasted on the ocean and upon our seas

Fish full of mercury

Oh Jesus, yeah, mercy, mercy me, ah

Ah, things ain't what they used to be (ain't what they used to be)

Radiation underground and in the sky

Animals and birds who live nearby are dying

Hey, mercy, mercy me, oh

Hey, things ain't what they used to be

What about this overcrowded land?

How much more abuse from man can she stand?

Oh, na, na, na

Oh, oh, oh, oh, oh

Hey, ooh, woo

Using texture and painting on a photo of dusk from last evenings sunset. This was shot just after a storm came through leaving a layer of fog in the meadow.

This used to be the Jumeirah Hotel Frankfurt until this April. It was the first Jumeirah on the European continent. Obviously, not as successful as it needed to be.

In the back of this image the IG Farben Haus, the Deutsche Bundesbank and the Ginnheimer Spargel (TV tower) all line up in front of the slopes of the Taunus.

Used to store water in Istanbul during Roman times. It was built by Roman Emperor Theodosius II between 428 and 443 to store water supplied by the Valens Aqueduct. Now it is used for art exhibitions.

Snowflake used to love to sit in the window and watch the snowflakes falling. I made this creation for my grand daughter Lydia that adored her and when Snowflake went to kitty heaven I got a silver frame and put this picture in it for her to remember her by.

Thank you all for the visit, kind remarks and invites, they are very much appreciated! 💝 I may reply to only a few comments due to my restricted time spent at the computer.

...HFF!!!

This use to be the entrance to someones property probably 50 years ago or so..:) It's now the outdoor patio for a restaurant/bar. I'm happy they left this standing. I'm probably imaging a better house that use to be there than what was.I'm thinking a cozy rock, farmhouse style house..;) but, probably not..;)

Happy Weekend

I just got the tail end of the storm. Lots of lightning and thunder. The house shook a few times and we got a lot of rain. we're all good and no damage

A local house used as a restaurant in Ywama.

There are many such places in Ywama as the community has been coping with tourists since the British period.

It has also catered to Buddhist pilgrims as the famous Phaung Daw Oo temple and the Nga Phe monastery are located in the same community.

Inle Lake has a longer history of tourism compared with other tourism places in Myanmar.

This is a re-edit of a photo uploaded previously.

Scenic south West coastline. The fiords of New Zealand are all located in the southwest of the South Island, in a mountainous area known as Fiordland. The spelling 'fiord' is used in New Zealand rather than 'fjord', although all the maritime fiords use the word Sound in their name instead. The Marlborough Sounds, a series of deep indentations in the coastline at the northern tip of the South Island, are in fact drowned river valleys, or rias. The deeply indented coastlines of Northland and Auckland also host many rias, such as the Hokianga and Waitematā Harbours. New Zealand has fifteen named maritime fiords, listed here from northernmost to southernmost. 13677

Example of use of TOPAZ AI SHARPEN

A Chiffchaff taking off

Un pouillot veloce qui s'envole

It's impossible to recover a movement blur with a sharpening filter : a sharpening filter will only add noise in this case but it will never recover details.

TOPAZ AI SHARPEN includes a new function called STABILIZE that is different from a simple sharpening filter. It tries to find a movement on the photo and to cancel it. That's why sometimes there are small artifacts on the opposite side of the movement, but it is really easy to deal with them with GIMP or photoshop.

To conclude : this tool deserves a try as it is free for 30 days.

It is very usefull for animals in movement (birds in flight, animals running ...), but it can manage movement of the photographer too.

You come walking 'round here

Acting like we're something

Then you up and disappear

And make it real clear

That we're nothing

I've been used

Damaged by you

Oh, I've been used, now I'm crying

By you, now I'm dying

'Cause I've been used

Guess I knew

'Cause that's what you do

Well, if love was just a crime

You would never do the time

Now, would ya

Could you love somebody else

The way you love yourself

If it suits ya

I've been used

Damaged by you

Oh, I've been used, now I'm crying

By you, now I'm dying

'Cause I've been used

Guess I knew

'Cause that's what you do

Well, I gave you what you asked

You gave…

Tomb from the church of Näshult, which predates the current church (the church is from 1735 - the burial from 1572). And the photo lies a bit - the stone is placed in the floor, not standing up, but I liked the effect from this angle.

The man buried here is Nils Persson from Holma, of the noble Silfversparre family (Silfversparre is a description of the coat of arms which later was used as a family name, so if you look at the stone you can see that coat of arms, but the name Silfversparre isn't actually mentioned). Nils Persson was first mentioned in 1529 and had several important functions in the higher echelons of society - though they are hard to translate to English so I won't try. He died October 19 1572, at six in the afternoon (according to the stone). Nils Persson had acquired a lot of land in his life-time and he seems to have been rather ruthless - and he had actually killed a man in 1551. He had at least three children, including a daughter - who was also accused of murder. She was later executed, but not for that, but for treachery towards the king. You can't help but get the feeling that if you were important enough, back in the day, you really could get away with murder...

We used today to dive into the history of the Danish West Coast visiting the Tirpitz Museum in Blavand as well as the open air museum of Nymindegab. I can highly recommend both locations for people who love to learn more about the life of our ancestors in previous centuries. Nymindegab, Jylland, Denmark
