This photograph taken August 14, 2011 shows US Army Staff Sergeant Lindsey Thompson of US Forces Afghanistan K-9 unit holding Mayo, a German Shepherd as they prepare to board a convoy of armored vehicle from Forward Operating Base Pasab for an overnight ground assault mission in Maiwand district in Kandahar province. Mayo who has a rank of Technical Sergeant is a military working dog trained for patrol and find bombs and improvised explosive devices (IED) is currently deployed in southern Afghanistan saving lives of coalition forces in its war against Taliban insurgents.

NURISTAN PROVINCE, Afghanistan – U.S. Army Spc. Brit B. Jacobs, a combat medic from Sarasota, Fla., assigned to Company C, 2nd Battalion, 327th Infantry Regiment, Task Force No Slack, fires his M4 rifle from a remote hilltop in the Shal Valley in eastern Afghanistan's Nuristan Province Nov. 7 at the beginning of an eight-hour firefight against insurgents.

The annual combined Field Training Exercise, part of Key Resolve/Foal Eagle 2011, is conducted between the Republic of Korea and United States forces and is one of the largest annual military training exercises in the world. The annual training has in the past caused tensions with North Korea.

This is 1/35 U.S.Army Armored Half Track Multiple Gun Carriage M-16 originally issued in 1957 but reissued by Revell in 2014. I built it as a kid and now I built it again for nostalgia.- still surprising to see this one considering the original release year, how advanced it was back then! I just wanted to create the box art mood of that time. Of course comparing with the modern kits this one's way out but I still love it so much for sentimental reason!
