El Pont Vell, és un petit pont de pedra situat al poble d'Osor (Selva) inclosa a l'Inventari del Patrimoni Arquitectònic de Catalunya. El Pont Vell està ubicat al bell mig del nucli urbà, sobre la riera d'Osor, unint les dues parts del poble concretades en els carrers del Pont i de França respectivament. S'ha datat d'època medieval, però si hem de fer cas a les cròniques que informen que, desprès del terratrèmol de 1427, no va quedar cap pont en peu en Osor, es pot datar de la segona meitat del segle XV, almenys la seva reconstrucció, ja que potser existia amb anterioritat i fos de construcció original més antiga (segle XII-XIII).

The Pont Vell, is a small stone bridge located in the village of Osor (Selva) included in the Architectural Heritage Inventory of Catalonia. The Pont Vell is located in the middle of the town center, on the stream of Osor, linking the two parts of the village, the streets of Pont and France respectively. It has been dated from medieval times, but if we take into account the ancient chronicles report that, after the earthquake of 1427, there was no bridge left standing in Osor, it can be dated from the second half of the fifteenth century, at least its reconstruction, as it may have existed before and was of older original construction (XII-XIII century).

I visited Robson Square in mid-November and to my disappointment, the tall Christmas tree that was supposed to be there had not been set up....yet! I then walked around the Square and saw this modern looking white structure that (to me) serves no practical purpose, there're no stairs to go to the "upper level"! However, it surely looks good as a modern sculpture against a darker background.

Illuminated dramatically under the sodium glow of streetlights, this photograph captures the massive, enduring structure of a historic warehouse at San Francisco's Pier 70. Joking aside, I am fortunate to live in a country that promotes free speech and equality amongst all of its citizens.

The structure was built by the Shanghai municipal government in the 1990s to commemorate revolutionary martyrs, as well as those who have lost their lives fighting natural disasters.
The structure stands 24 metres (79 ft) tall, and is built in the stylised shape of three rifles leaning against each other. The Monument is surrounded by a paved space used by locals for morning exercises.

This Bayview street scene captures the architectural collage that defines so many San Francisco neighborhoods—especially those undergoing waves of reinvestment and reinvention. At the center of the frame stands a mid-renovation home, its raw plywood exterior and unpainted framing surrounded by classic 20th-century stucco houses in cheerful blues, greens, and reds. This image speaks not only to architectural style but to the changing identity of Bayview itself.
The house under construction is clearly in the midst of a dramatic remodel. Its contemporary boxy form, large modern windows, and recessed garage entry suggest a shift from the single-story vernacular of neighboring homes toward taller, more modern infill housing. It’s flanked by two more traditional San Francisco houses: a Spanish Mediterranean-style unit to the left with a red tile roof and a streamlined green stucco home to the right with a modest balcony.
Vintage cars parked at the curb add another layer of texture to the story—nostalgia parked alongside the future. The hand-painted “NO PARKING” scrawled on the curb in front of the job site reinforces the DIY reality of local construction and the neighborhood’s character: practical, scrappy, and full of pride.
From a photographer’s standpoint, this moment of visual contrast—unfinished wood against finished plaster, old against new, grit against gloss—is pure Bayview. It’s a portrait of a place in transition, yet deeply rooted in its working-class soul.
