I took this slide in March 1977, converted it to monochrome and gave it a dream look.
The bus is a DMS class on Route 276 in Sewardstone Road, Chingford.
The route was created in June 1968, replacing part of Route 278 and operated by new single deck MB class buses. In July 1975, these were replaced by the DMS class (as per image) and replaced again in September 1981 by T class (Titans).
The route was withdrawn as a result of the failure of the Fares Fare policy:
en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Fares_Fair#:~:text=Fares%20Fair%20w....
Savings had to be made of money London Transport thought it was going to get and fares rose along with reductions and cuts - and Route 276 was one and withdrawn in September 1982, replaced by the extension over part of the route by several different routes as they tried to make the extension fit routes it wasn't planned for.
In November 1988 there was money to reinstate the route (by then operated by an extension of Route 212), again with T class buses, but by then the route number 276 had been used elsewhere, so it was given the number 215 and still runs the same route today, aside from alterations in Walthamstow to the road layout and a small one stop extension the other end to the Lea Valley Campsite.

Sorted food and signed off at the bus. Byes, Rick was underground still taking photos & couldn’t get him on the phone. We drove to Madura 11, cleaned air cleaner & had couple of lemon squashes.

This image shows a vintage Volkswagen Beetle parked in a dry, outback landscape, likely in Australia, with a person attending to a campsite.
The scene depicts a form of car camping or a road trip, with a tent and laundry hanging on a line in the background.
The car's hood is open, suggesting a possible repair or maintenance check.
The vehicle is a classic Volkswagen Beetle, a model that has been popular in Australia for decades.
The landscape, with its sparse vegetation and arid ground, is characteristic of the Australian outback, potentially in a region like Corner Country.

at speedo 70709mi. added some oil. Into Hay at 70809 and managed to start it and got out of town where I waved down the same Truckie..
"Oh no!" he says, "hitch up." I tied the 20ft of nylon rope on again and he towed me to Balranald.
Could not get any heavier oil or a fix, so he towed me to Narrandera where I found a VW mechanic!

The image shows a Leyland Super Comet truck, likely from the late 1950s or 1960s, based on its "LAD" or "Vista Vue" cab design.
Model History: The Leyland Comet series, including the Super Comet, were primarily intended for export markets and were a popular export to Australia and India.
Cab Design: This particular model features the "Vista Vue" or LAD (Leyland-Albion-Dodge) cab, which was shared with other Leyland and Albion models, as well as the Dodge 200 series.
Engine and Features (Super Comet): The Super Comet, introduced to supplement the Comet, typically featured a larger diesel engine and was often used for heavier loads or as a tipper or truck mixer, particularly in its six-wheeled versions.
Production: The Leyland Comet name was in production from 1947, and the Super Comet followed, with the name enduring in India through Ashok Leyland until 2015.

The image shows the engine components of an air-cooled Volkswagen, specifically a section displaying the barrel and piston assembly, and potentially the flywheel and other associated parts, with a person working on it.
Engine Type: This is characteristic of the air-cooled engines found in classic Volkswagen models like the Beetle, Kombi (Type 2), and Type 3.
Components Visible: You can see the cylinders (barrels) and pistons, which are fundamental parts of an internal combustion engine responsible for converting fuel combustion into mechanical motion. The flywheel, a heavy wheel that smooths out engine operation, is also visible on the right side.
Relevance: These parts are essential for engine rebuilds and maintenance, with various kits and individual components available for different VW models and engine sizes.
Significance: Air-cooled VW engines are known for their simplicity and durability, making them popular among enthusiasts for restoration and modification projects.

The image shows the rear view of a truck, likely a semi-trailer, loaded with goods and covered by a tarp, being driven on a road.
Key details:
The truck is carrying a significant load, indicated by the large, tarp-covered cargo area.
It appears to be an older model truck, based on the overall design and visible features.
The truck is being driven on what appears to be a highway or open road.
The image captures a moment of transport, possibly in a rural or outback setting, given the dust and open road.
