University of the Pacific (Pacific or UOP) is a private Methodist-affiliated university with its main campus in Stockton, California, and graduate campuses in San Francisco and Sacramento. It claims to be California's first university, the first independent coeducational campus in California, and the first conservatory of music and first medical school on the West Coast.
The Stockton Campus, featuring a tower, rose gardens, architectural columns, brick-faced buildings, and numerous trees, has been used in Hollywood films, due to its aesthetic likeness to East Coast Ivy League universities: High Time, Raiders of the Lost Ark, Kingdom of the Crystal Skull, The Sure Thing, Dead Man on Campus, All the Kings Men, Flubber (film), and Dreamscape, among others. Part of Disney's 1973 film The World's Greatest Athlete was also shot at Pacific.
Pacific was chartered on July 10, 1851, in Santa Clara, California, under the name California Wesleyan College. The school moved to San Jose in 1871 and then to Stockton in 1923. Pacific is accredited by the WASC Senior College and University Commission. In addition to its liberal arts college and graduate school, Pacific has schools of business, dentistry, education, engineering, international studies, law, music, pharmacy, and health sciences.
It is home to the papers of environmental pioneer John Muir in Pacific's Holt-Atherton Special Collections and Archives. The university also has a John Muir Center that hosts a Muir Symposium to encourage the use of John Muir's Papers. At Pacific's William Knox Holt Memorial Library, there is a museum style presentational space for Muir's Papers. The Muir Experience has on display physical and digital exhibits to inspire user interaction with Muir's work.

Designed at Ogle Design as the Ogle SX250 prototype and put into production by Reliant, the Scimitar was originally launched as the SE4 (A) in 1964, powered by a Ford S6 engine of 2553cc.
In late 1966 the SE4B was introduced, Ford dropped their 2.6 S6 engine, in favour of a new 3.0 V6 Essex engine, for its latest Zephyr and Zodiac.
This meant that Reliant had to do a good deal of development work to the existing Scimitar GT to enable the new more powerful engine to fit and obtain best performance and handling. As the Essex engine was shorter, it was mounted further back in the bulkhead to help improve weight distribution. The lower wishbones were re-positioned, the tower structures and cross members were reinforced and an anti-roll bar was fitted. Other modifications included replacing the wire wheels with wider steel wheels as standard, and the fitting of a higher-ratio rear axle. The interior was updated .
In 1967 Reliant introduced their third and final version of the V6 Scimitar GT, the SE4C, built alongside the 3 litre, it was introduced to widen the Scimitars appeal and marketed as a cheaper version of the SE4B. Cars were powered by Ford's 2.5-litre version of the V6 Essex engine, giving a top speed of 110mph and improved fuel economy. The SE4C was priced approx £ 120 less than its big brother, externally the only difference between the 3-litre and 2.5-litre versions was the small badge on the boot giving the engine size.

Here's a quick video snip of the UOP Shadowbox entering and parking at that everso haughty Concours d'Lemons.
Even my short videos take a while to upload to flickr. I've downsampled the video from 2K to 720p for the sake of a smaller file, but flickr is loath to upload many of my video clips.
I have been to every Concours d'Lemons of Monterey Car Week except the very first one. This event is a hoot!

My 90-year old neighbor Evie gave me her old cameras and in that bag was a roll of super-expired Verichrome Pan (May 1965). After a year of hemming and hawing, I finally decided to shoot it. Love the results. This was the first exposure on that roll.
An interesting seaside livery treatment on this Mercedes Tourismo that started its working life in Eire, but now lives on the Devon Riviera!
