This night photograph was taken from the opposite bank of Singapore River looking towards the illuminated UOB Plaza designed by Kenzo Tange. According to Wikipedia, it is a complex with twin tower late-modernist skyscrapers in the Central Business District of Singapore. There were light trails left by the water taxi that transport visitors from Clarke Quay to Marina Bay.

A late evening walk along Boat Quay in Singapore. Here I stopped for a photo outside UOB Plaza, which is one of the tallest towers in the country.

In celebration of UOB’s 90th anniversary and Singapore’s 60th year of independence, UOB Plaza 1 is lighting up a projection show of artworks and animation from 28 June to 9 August 2025.

UOB Plaza seen from Boat Quay, Singapore

The vantage point: Tian Fu Teahouse on the 60th floor, UOB Plaza 1.

I was quite surprised to be able to get through tight security as you will need a special pass to gain access to the lifts. How? Just ask the security the way to the restaurant on the 60th floor and they will let you in without the need of a pass. However to get out you will need to get a stamp from the restaurant in order to exit. Lucky for me the restaurant was empty at that time and the waitress let me in without any hassle. When I got into the premises it was all mine as the workers were having their break. There are several windows with different views but I think this one facing the Singapore River is the most favourable. For those who wants to shoot and have an Imperial High Tea, the price is pretty affordable as well. It costs only S$18++ per person with luscious delicacies to complement each tea flavour. A small price to pay for such a prestige location.

Not a HDR process. Handheld. Vertorama using 2 shots. Boost colors on selective areas with "Overlay" on layers. Finish off with slight contrast and sharpening. Added some clouds over it from my archives to spice it up a little.

Hopefully this will appeal to most of you.

Thank you all for following my flickr pages with kind comments. My sincere apologies not to be able to reply to each and everyone of you as I am really unable to find the time. Have a nice weekend and enjoy your shooting. Cheers to the season!!
