If you love me
I'll make you a star
in my universe
You'll never have to go to work
You'll spend every day
Shining your light my way

Remember to look up at the stars and not down at your feet. Try to make sense of what you see and wonder about what makes the universe exist.......

A tangent universe pertains to an alternate time line that is created by an event occurring in an existing universe.

With all the continuous rain we’ve been having this past two weeks a thistle blossomed in our backyard along with some other of it’s satellites. This photo was taken on our first sunny morning.
I went into a black hole (a kind of wormhole) to witness the parallel universe phenomenon. The experience costed me $30.

Much emphasis is placed on knowledge and memory,
intelligence is worshipped and information is mankind's god.
Yet these too are trivial and shall turn to dust.
People cling to memories yet these too are mortal
and shall fade with age and die with death.
No, what is immortal, and is important
does not age, does not die, and is rarely sought.
Wisdom and love are the fruit of the soul
and these do not age but grow with time.
Yet these treasures are ignored and mocked.
Many people believe they possess wisdom,
yet they do not seek it.
Many covet love, and wish it for themselves,
yet are reluctant to give it,
sharing it only with close friends and family.
Wisdom and love are the food of the soul
yet people stuff their souls with hatred and ignorance,
and while their bodies live healthy and well,
souls suffer and starve.
Wisdom often comes with age but
wisdom does not come from age.
Indeed, there are children who are wise
and elders who are fools.
No, knowledge and wisdom are enemies.
Knowledge is of the world and for the world,
wisdom is of the soul and for the soul.
Knowledge is nothing more than trivial facts
that help make us feel good about ourselves,
but wisdom is true understanding of life and what is life.
Only when one has wisdom, rather than knowledge,
can one truly understand the purpose of dying,
and more importantly, the purpose for living.

While we grow up on the lap of our society, we try to understand and copy the life-style-patterns and socially accepted behaviours to develop our survival skills.
We have the ability to change to blend in. We are afraid of being weird and too different. We need the tag of being " normal ” and want to be accepted by others.
“Love - Universe” sculpture
A new work of art has appeared in Shevchenko Park in Kyiv. The steel figures of lovers, as if for a moment, froze in each other's embrace. The name of the sculpture is no less romantic than the appearance - "Love - Universe."
The figures of a man and a woman merged in the arms convey the main idea - the harmony of the two principles. The author of the sculpture draws a parallel between love and harmony in the universe.
Made of metal the silhouettes are clearly visible even from afar. It’s interesting that despite its lightness and ease of composition the sculpture is quite heavy. Its weight is about 400 pounds! :-)
The author Alexander Lidagovsky is sure that right now it is very important for Ukrainians not to forget about love and humanity. And his work just symbolizes the love and desire of Ukraine for a peaceful and happy life.
Beim letzten Vollmond habe ICH ein Drachen-Universum gemacht. Dort ist es sehr schön.
Die Drachen dürfen alle Feuer speien, so viel sie wollen.
During the last full moon, I made a dragon universe.
It is very beautiful there. The dragons are all allowed to breathe fire as much as they want.
Lors de la dernière pleine lune, J'ai fait un univers de dragon. C'est très beau là-bas. Les dragons peuvent tous cracher du feu autant qu'ils le veulent.
this little lady beetle hitched a ride home on me........lol..
so i took her portrait on my fave feather.......

At the beginning, I found the theme quite difficult and I struggled to find something…
A “beverage” is supposed to be in a container and glass and every other material I used gave the picture undesirable reflections.
Worst of all, the bubbles I would have liked to catch were absolutely erratic: when I managed to get in focus some of them… BLOB … they moved or disappeared!
So, I took ton of photos, drank a lot (not alcohol, only mineral water and soft drinks, to have fresh subjects for my shots) and played with some post processing that usually I don’t have :-))
This is the image I prefer: I hope you will like, you'll judge by yourself.
One thing I can tell you: I really enjoyed my time and had fun
HMM
P.S. at the end, I put everything upside-down: this way, the top of the picture is the lower part of the glass of this “blond” drink

Maybe the universe or the place where we come from is like this space and time, although I’ve never been there.
Sometimes I think about why I prefer to visit Islamic architecture when I travel around Islamic countries. It is because of the mental and visual effect that their symmetric and geometrical design brings, as well as the soft light and shadow inside them. Here I try to depict these elements that consist of Islamic architecture through photography. Thank you for stopping by and taking your precious time!
Pictures don't do justice to the scale of this hole in the rock. If you fall, there is little chance that you can climb out by yourself :)
As framing in the middle of the night at a dark site is no easy task, I normally start by aiming the camera in the general direction and do the composition by shooting a few trial frames. Between the exposures I slightly shift the camera, until I reach the desired composition. As I have no intention to use the images produced during this workflow and to loose as little time as possible, I shoot with the ISO pushed to the limit, which is ISO 16'000 on my 7D mk ll.
The Image above is the result of this aiming process: It is a 2 image panorama. The first shot was aimed too high and the second image was the base for my previously published image: flic.kr/p/KP9rQS
In the dark of the night, I then decided that the Milky Way was still too far away from Mt Matterhorn for this lens. I therefore switched to my Samyang 10mm and returned only much later to the 24mm.
At home, I stumbled over the aiming shots, as I forgot to delete them. Despite the horrible noise of the extreme ISO and the Milky Way right at the edge of the frame, I kind of liked them now. So I stitched the two shots into this vertical panorama.
Processing the horribly bad data was really difficult and I have been playing around with this shot for quite some time. I am still unsure whether it was worth publishing. If it is too noisy for you, take it as an example that pushing ISO too far is a bad idea. I promise my future shots will be of better quality again...
As always, any feedback is welcome.
