Ministry of Finance, Government of Pakistan, and UNDP Pakistan launched the SDG Investments & Climate Financing Facility to mobilize private sector investments and promote a dynamic Financing for Development portfolio for Pakistan.

The Centre’s 6 major fields of work have been identified, following an extensive labour market assessment, as priority areas for Ganja –the region that is known as an industrial centre of western Azerbaijan.

To celebrate International Women’s Day 2022, UN Women, UNDP, and UNCDF jointly organized an event in Dhaka with several financial institutions in Bangladesh to highlight the importance of better and easier access to finance for women. The event was an initiative of the “WING: Women’s Empowerment for Inclusive Growth” project, funded by the Embassy of the Kingdom of the Netherlands in Bangladesh.

The project in Ganja is part of a broader programme on Modernising Vocational Education and Training (VET) Centres in Azerbaijan funded by the EU, with co-financing from the UNDP, and implemented by the UNDP, in close partnership with the Ministry of Education and the State Agency on Vocational Education.
