So on Tues. I gave a presentation entitled "User Interface is King, Developing a Web App UI." It was an interesting experience. I've definitely learned some lessons about prepping for a talk. Right after the talk I swore I would never give another talk like that again. On reflection I think I should qualify it with "if I'm that unprepared." All of my issues cropped up because I wasn't properly prepared and I feel bad for those folks who came to the talk. Ah, well. Can't change it but at least I can learn from it.
By the way, it's not like I went down in flames or anything but it just wasn't up to my own standards.
The Native American Student Association (NASA) and the Native American Council (NAC) visited Tippie to give a little preview to the 22nd annual UI Powwow! The UI Powwow celebrates and honors Native American dance, food, culture, and rich traditions.
What's new:
