Plant regelmatig een ui en een teentje knoflook in mijn kruidentuintje en knip de stengels als kruiden in het eten, een enkel ui schiet uit en gaat bloeien, hommels zijn er dol op!

People who complain that software engineers build unwieldy, unfriendly and outright mindboggling user interfaces need to look back in history to realize that hardware engineers have not always been much better in that respect. A good place to do that is the Railway Museum in Utrecht, the Netherlands.

O'Donovan Rossa Bridge (Irish: Droichead Uí Dhonnabháin Rosa)] is a road bridge spanning the River Liffey in Dublin, Ireland and joining Winetavern Street to Chancery Place (at the Four Courts) and the north quays.
Replacing a short lived wooden structure, the original masonry bridge on this site was built in 1684 as a five-span simple arch bridge, and named Ormonde Bridge. In December 1802 this bridge was swept away during a severe storm.
In 1813 construction started on a replacement bridge — the current structure — a little further west to the designs of James Savage and was opened in 1816. It consists of three elliptical arch spans in granite, with sculptured heads, similar to those on O'Connell Bridge, on the keystones. The heads represent Plenty, the Liffey, and Industry on one side, with Commerce, Hibernia and Peace on the other. The balustrades are of cast-iron.
Opened as Richmond Bridge (for the Duke of Richmond Lord Lieutenant of Ireland), it was renamed in 1923 for Jeremiah O'Donovan Rossa by the fledgeling Free State.]
Pretty much a mixture of Ironsniper's Drone Fast Assault Fireteam and KingBrick's 110101010101100. For Droneuary.
Finally built something again! Technically not totally new, as the mech was built around March, and was basically just a slightly modified and recolored version of my ui.9 mech, but the background was just built this past week. Not my best work but I'm fairly happy with it as something that was just meant to display the mech to begin with. Anyway, I'm happy to have finally built something, and since I have a lot more ideas on what to build hopefully I'll be able to find the time to do more soon!
Another old MOC, but one that I am quite happy with how it turned out. Detail pictures are available here.

Tulip Time in the Netherlands - Natural Beauty at Its Best
One can't travel through Holland in the spring without spotting what could quite possibly be the national flower. When the sun rises during Spring in the Netherlands, millions of eager bulbs also rise for the occasion. Acres upon endless acres of the most brilliantly exquisite tulips transform dozens of ordinary fields into a colorful kaleidoscope of hues.
Holland is one of the world's leading exporters of the exotic flower. Nearly 3 billion tulips are grown every year, and two-thirds of them are exported.
Farmers plant the bulbs in late October and early November, and then they are harvested in May.
Late April and early May are the most beautiful blooming tulip fields.
