I've taken this panorama on Wednesday during the evening.
It was a tiny breath of fresh air, because of covid fault in Italy we're still forced to stay home.
The image is the result of 3 tracked frames for the sky (30 pictures for 15 min signal) plus other 3 frames untracked for the ground put together in PS.
I'm calling this picture "Iron Sky" because meanwhile I was taken the frames, I was listening the beautiful Paolo Nutini song's called "Iron Sky" precisely.
Nikon D750 (modded), AF-S NIKKOR 70-200mm f/2.8G ED VR II, iOptron Skyguider Pro, Nisi Filter Soft ND4 (to reduce light pollution).

Ground: 70mm, 30 seconds @ f/7.1, ISO 100
I was up in the North West of Scotland hiking and my journey home coincided with an excellent forecast at the UHD. I was also fortunate that we were passing within a reasonable time window to stop for 4M11 making its way south without inconveniencing my travelling companion who has no interest in railways! I’ve had a couple of failures on 4M11 here on my last two visits with cloud getting in the way, so it was nice to get this in the bag. 90005 and 90003 providing the traction as they slowed for Abington loop. I didn’t further inconvenience my travelling companion by chasing it to the other side of the loop on this occasion!
Der Gesang der Feldlerchen ist einfach fantastisch.
Früher hörte man ihn sehr oft in oder über den Feldern.
Leider wird die Feldlerche immer seltener. Vor allem die intensivierte Landwirtschaft führt u.a. zu einem dramatischen Bestandsrückgang.
Sie steht inzwischen auf der Vorwarnliste der Roten Liste Deutschlands.

Arriving early to the Bayou City, the westbound Sunset Limited rolls under the University of Houston-Downtown's One Main Building. UHD is a separate entity from the University of Houston, though under the UH System. They operate independently, despite being fewer than 5 miles apart.
The Passenger Main (Main 2) of UP's Houston Sub passes beneath two of UHD's buildings just east of the Houston Amtrak Station. The Freight Main (Main 1) is about a half mile north of here (forming the northern border of UHD's campus), and the split mains necessitate the "A" plate on the milepost next to the lead P42.
