Am 12.06.2024 wurde der Fußballkultursommer mit einer Eröffnungsshow am Brandenburger Tor eingeläutet. Den Auftakt der EM machten am 14.06.2024 der Gastgeber Deutschland und Schottland um 21 Uhr in München.
Einen ganzen Monat hat die Heim-EM gedauert. Schon im Dezember letzten Jahres war man bei der S-Bahn Berlin im Fußballfieber. Man beklebte einen ganzen Vollzug der Baureihe 481, welcher nun für die Heim-EM wirbt. Dieser wurde immer mal wieder auseinandergenommen. Mal fuhr er nur zur Hälfte, wie im Bild zu sehen, oder nur in Vierteln.

Various airports were used for the fans and aircraft parking such as Cardiff, Bristol, Birmingham, Bournemouth, Exeter, Kemble and Oxford.
The football was played at the Cardiff Principality Stadium and Real Madrid beat Juventus of Turin by four goals to one.
