To all my wonderful Flickr friends !!!
"May Peace be your gift at Christmas and your blessing all year through!!!"
// ~Author Unknown
Was it love or fear of the cold that led us through the night?
For every kiss your beauty trumped my doubt
And my head told my heart
"Let love grow"
But my heart told my head
"This time no
This time no"

Been listening to the new Mumford & Sons album quite alot lately, really like it. So much I was inspired to create a poster inspired by the lyrics of Winter Winds.
As well as that, you may notice a web address at the bottom, my website is finally online, check it out:
(31mm, 1/640, f/2.8, ISO200)
"When I'm Cleaning Windows" is a comedy song performed by Lancastrian comic, actor and ukulele player George Formby. It first appeared in the 1936 film Keep Your Seats, Please.
song starts at 1:47
The song was so successful that George Formby recorded another version of the song entitled "The Window Cleaner (No. 2)". This song uses similar orchestration to the original version and it is about further things which were seen on a window cleaning round.
The song’s lyrics were racy for the time, with a risqué allusion to homosexuality ("pyjamas lying side by side"), and was consequently banned by the BBC from being played on the radio.

A two colour coin.
From 2012 to 2014 Canada issued 25 cent coins (quarters) to commemorate Canadian heros of the War of 1812 which included a painted red Maple Leaf on top of the coin.
This quarter issued in 2013, features Lieutenant Colonel Charles-Michel de Salaberry who during Battle of Châteauguay in October 1813, with his force of 1700, turned back an invading American force of 3000 troops, which helped to prevent the American take-over of Canada.

It is nice to see some blossoms on the apricot. I hope they survive and we get some fruit.
A nice blue drainpipe and a stippled wall. I have a feeling this was taken at Legoland, but I could be wrong.
flower fly on sand coreopsis--I was trying to get a shot of the flower center, and the fly came in to add a spot of shine
