Poppy was so tired at the end of the day.
She ventured into the "Du Barbie" street (next corner to the "Du Didier" street). But Alas! nobody seemed to care about her problems there...
Still no signs of Bonbon.

So here she is! I have wanted this doll for many years.
It almost feels like I have come full circle. I started my vintage collection with Francie 8 years ago and now I am back to collecting Francie. It is strange that I moved on from her when she is my favourite doll and I don't actually have that much Francie Stuff.
This girl came from a friend of the original owner and she came wearing her original headband and panties. The dress I borrowed from Eddi (ModBarbie Lover). Thanks Spagbol! The original owner was a grown woman that bought her new back in the 70s and displayed her, so this doll was never played with. She still has a bit of her wrist tag stuck to her wrist.
I am so glad I got her. She is the most expensive doll in my collection but she is the cheapest No Bangs sold on eBay in the last few months. And she is worth it anyway.

Today I would like to share a photo from Eddi's visit the other day.
I am sure you all know by now that Eddi (ModBarbie Lover) and I love to copy each other. And it makes for fantastic photos. It is also great to see how different the same doll can be!
Eddi's No Bangs Francie has a much sweeter face, which is thinner and has thicker eyelashes, more subtle blush, and a rounder hairline.
My No Bangs Francie has a wider face, thinner lashes, more intense blush, and a squarer hairline.
It was Eddi's idea to photograph the sisters on my loungeroom carpet. I think it turned out very well.
As always, Eddi and I had so much fun, I can't wait to compare some more dolls on our next dolly day!

I have had these two Marlo Flip TnT Barbie for years... OK, decades... Last month I sent them to the spa and they have returned quite refreshed!
This is my new platinum hair Barbie wearing #1874 “Fab City” - my very favorite of the Mattel Mod gowns! I knew she needed something special to highlight her bright, beautiful hair. The hot pink of the gown goes so well with her bright hot pink hair ribbon.

Twist n' Turn Barbie in 1968's See-Worthy. The hat looks like something a young Russian sailor would wear, minus the pom-pom….
Christie: Reproduction Mod era TNT Christie head rebodied Made-to-Move. This is the slightly more muscular/athletic body style than the regular body style, but smaller/longer waist than the curvy body style. The Christie head had a slightly more matte finish than the original head for this body, but I think it's a good match. She is modeling new fashions by Mattel. I think this look works well for this Christie.

After seeing a gorgeous Hair Fair head in a specific catalogue I felt that something wasn't quite right with the one I had. After much inspection I found that she had received a hair cut, and was missing some lashes.
I then decided that I needed a new one, one that looked exactly as it did in the catalogue's picture.
So here she is! She was mint in packet with all the accessories (some of which I have now sold). She has no rubs to her paint and her lashes are perfect. Her face has faded a little since I got her, but that happens to all my dolls, grrr! :P
She is wearing Pajama Pow, as suggested by Eddi!
