Although it has been fairly dry for the last couple of weeks, the rains of a month ago are still filtering through the ground. As a result, Missouri's springs are flowing with unusual force. This is Turner's Spring, flowing from a cave immediately behind me.
I must apologise as I was just not happy with my last shot so removed it; thank you to those of you who took the time to comment. It was one of those shots which had some positives, but the negatives kept on niggling me hence my decision to remove it. Anyway, I decided to go back last night and the conditions were significantly better. I will upload a newer version of the shot I removed at a later stage, but for now, I felt the sunset shot had to take priority. It was rather uncomfortable taking this as was hanging over some rocks lying on my front trying to not get in the mud. I would of used the Oly Pen as the flip out screen would have been perfect, but as I wanted to stack a few filters to give some extra colour in camera, I went with the DSLR. Anyway, I hope you like it as I am rather pleased with it.
Whatever you are up to; have a great weekend folks! :-)

If JMW Turner had a camera, I wonder whether he would have tried to hold it still.
This is another somewhat intentional camera movement image. Infrared filter, in camera multiple exposure. Unframed - no viewfinder or screen.

Happy weekend! The Turner Club in Chicago indeed boasts remarkable neoclassical and Renaissance Revival architecture. Its facade is adorned with ornate Corinthian columns, intricate moldings, and graceful arches. The fusion of aesthetics and functionality in the club's architecture is truly remarkable. I figured that capturing it in infrared could yield fascinating results, bringing a unique perspective to its timeless beauty. What are your thoughts?

Thank you for a lifetime of music.
Heartbroken tonight to hear about Tina Turner's passing.
Another icon gone.

Z151 is about to regain home rails as the train rolls off the last few hundred feet of CSX's Grand Rapids Terminal Subdivision. At right is the north end of the Grand Elk's transload operation, built on the ROW of the old Pennsy (Grand Rapids & Indiana). The PM and PRR paralleled each other for about 5 total miles, before crossing each other a little north of here at Comstock Park. The Pennsy was last operated by the Michigan Northern, who would interchange with Conrail at the yard that once occupied this spot.

He loved the views of sea and sky from the windows of that house – and also the attentions of its landlady, a sailor’s widow called Sophia Booth.
For 20 years they were companions, finally living together in Chelsea, where he adopted the name of Admiral Booth to avoid a scandal.
I saw Ike and Tina Turner in 1971 at the Beacon in New York City. I remember it well. She was absolutely amazing! Dominated the stage. Best legs in show biz! $7.50, no refund. Like I was going to refund? Great memories.
