Turin, fog drifting along the Po River

As the sun started to set on our first day in Turin we headed up to the popular viewing terrace outside the Santa Maria del Monte dei Cappuccini church.

It proved to be a popular spot with tourists and Turin couples such as this pair sat drinking wine.

Having made our way up to the terrace at the front of the Santa Maria del Monte dei Cappuccini church at sunset on our first day in Turin we stayed until it was pretty much dark.

This shot was taken shortly after the sun had set behind the Alps.

It's light like this that makes it worth getting up early whilst travelling. Dawn light is subtlely different to that of the setting sun, crisper I'd say, maybe as a result of less pollution in the air.
