I want to say thanks to Jennifer from the Bay Area who told me to go check out the rainbow that forms on Bridalveil Falls in the afternoon. (See Bridalveil Falls to the center right in my previous photo) I tried to meet up with her but the crowds kept me from parking in the regular lot.
"The grandeur of the scene was but softened by the haze that hung over the valley-light as gossamer -and by the clouds that partially dimmed the highest lifts and mountains. This obscurity of vision but increased the awe with which I beheld it, and as I looked, a peculiar exalted sensation seemed to fill my whole being, and I found my eyes in tears with emotion"
Words of Lafayette Houghton Bunnell, after he discovered the beauty of Yosemite Park in March 1851.

Have a great week ahead!
I wanted to capture this sun burst for quite a time. But mother nature always disappointed me. After more than 10 trips finally I was able to capture it. Hope you all liked it. If you have taken similar shots then please share with me.

I can't get enough of this view, it has it all. You can see El Capitan to the left, Half Dome in the center, and Bridalveil Falls to the right. I cruised it around four times when I was in Yosemite. I had to wait for clouds on the 3rd day to see it at it's best.
A view of Yosemite Valley from Tunnel View overlook. Bridalveil Fall is in the distance to the right with the cliff face of El Capitan to the left. This is probably my best shot of Tunnel View. The other shots I was trying to do too much with the sunrise. They are nice with the rays of sun coming into the valley but this one has less shadow. --- #YosemiteNationalPark #NPS #TunnelView #California #valley #mountains #montagnes #Gebirge #Tal #vallée #ElCapitan #BridalveilFall #山 #谷 #UNESCO
I was just trying to burn some time... Before I went to bed. Photo could of been better however I'll take it.. Long days in Yosemite
This is Tunnel View entering into Yosemite National Park. This is in the opposite direction of the valley which are the most popular shots. While I have shots of Tunnel View too this side is also pretty. This is with the sun at my back at the Wawona Road Tunnel looking away from Yosemite Park. #YosemiteNationalPark #NPS #Tunnelview #cliffs #valley #WawonaRoad #MercedRiverValley #falaises #WawonaTunnel #Klippen #vallée #Senke #谷 #崖 #UNESCO #landscape #paysage #Landschaft #景色 #hiking #randonnée #Wandern #ハイキング

Tunnel View is a scenic viewpoint on State Route 41 in Yosemite National Park. Visitors have seen and documented the iconic and expansive views of Yosemite Valley from the overlook since its opening in 1933.
The sun is rising a Yosemite National Park's southern entrance. This is from Tunnel View. A scenic overlook just after exiting the tunnel on Wawona Rd. Bridalveil Fall can be seen off to the left. February is the time of year when the sun hits Bridalveil Fall just right and it looks like it's pouring lava down the mountain. #NPS #YosemiteNationalPark #TunnelView #sunrise #aube #Dämmerung

Tunnel View provides one of the most famous views of Yosemite Valley. From here you can see El Capitan and Bridalveil Fall rising from Yosemite Valley, with Half Dome in the background. This viewpoint is at the east end of the Wawona Tunnel along the Wawona Road (Highway 41).
Always try to be positive. How difficult a situation might be, the day will come that the light, the sun will shine again.
Another photo taken from Tunnel View with that redbud bush in the foreground. This one was taken from the overflow parking lot above the road.
