Another photo taken from Tunnel View with that redbud bush in the foreground. This one was taken from the overflow parking lot above the road.
I passed this tunnel for months when I cycled past almost daily, but never had the time to explore where it went when I was a teenager. Then one day I did have some spare time and found that whilst it didn't save any time on my journey, it took me on much quieter roads for a while.
As seen on a windy & wet day.

I love this tree tunnel in West Sussex and have visited it and the nearby windmill many times for photography. This one was taken on a very sunny day in September with the trees still in full leaf.
The way from the golf links at Lost Farm to the beach is through this tunnel under the sand dunes. It reminded me of a WWI trench tunnel, and I suppose was a fitting complement to the "bunker-style" restaurant on the ridge at Barnbougle. In any case it made a perfect subject for an Infra Red shot which highlights the foliage against the shadows and the deep blue sky.
