...for me a special photo due to fact I've processed the photo. Normally I photograph nature, wildlife, landscape and you'll try to give a natural looking representation of your subject and don't do heavy processing. The photo above was taken at a car show in Rotterdam (Netherlands)
This is a rig shot of a friends VW Golf Mk3. I wanted to shoot the chrome rims from a tight and low viewpoint and adjusted the rig to leave the camera only 18 inches or so from the front bumper and about the same distance from the ground also.
Shot on my Sony DSC-R1 it's one of my favourite rig shots taken to date.

Shot as part of a magazine roadtrip feature entitled "California Dreaming" I had the pleasure of being handed the keys to this modified Porsche 930 Turbo to drive around the San Francisco Bay area, Marin Headlands and down to Scotts Valley where we would visit the Canepa Design factory and car museum.

This is a HDR version of a Nissan Skyline R34 which I shot for Fast & Modified magazine back in 2007. The location was particularly awesome as we borrowed an old run down shed belonging to a friend who owns CCCP car accessory shop in Carrigans just over the border into the Republic of Ireland from Londonderry/Derry where I was living at the time.
Great car, great location and great shoot...just after looking through the old RAW files I decided to use 5 different exposed versions of the same shot to make this HDR version to upload.
This is a HDR shot of a friends new (at the time of shooting) Ford Focus ST which was shot in the same location as the Nissan Skyline R34 GTR found in my photostream also.

Car tuning is the modification of a car to optimise it for a different set of performance requirements from those it was originally designed to meet. Most commonly this is higher engine performance and dynamic handling characteristics but cars may also be altered to provide better fuel economy, or smoother response. The goal when tuning is the improvement of a vehicle's overall performance in response to the user's needs. Often, tuning is done at the expense of emissions performance, component reliability and occupant comfort.
As a culture has grown around modified cars the term tuning has grown to encompass the cosmetic and stylistic changes owners make to personalize their vehicles. These changes can range from functional modifications designed to improve the performance or functionality of the car, to visual modifications which alter the aesthetics of the car and, in the case of certain mods, sometimes be detrimental to the performance or functionality of the car.
This image was shot at the Autosport Show which is held annually in the National Exhibition Centre (NEC) in Birmingham, England.
It was taken back in 2006, and I'm working my way through the hundreds of thousands of images I have from car shows, photoshoots and events all over the world to breathe some new life into them after they've been left lying on my hard drive for the last few years.
