Queen - Don't Stop Me Now (Official Video)
Disfrútalo. No te pares.
Enjoy it. Do not stop.
Today, just 15 years ago, I was diagnosed with a tumor, for which I had to be operated on and treated for 15 long months, and which left me in limbo.
During that time, I learned to put aside those things that until then were relevant to me, to go on to appreciate those small, everyday, unlikely things that until that moment, I had not been able to appreciate, savor, admire and "taste" with pleasure. , the breeze, the people, the flowers, a breakfast, a chat with your neighbors, a hug from mommy, the kisses of my little girl, details that we are so used to, that we let them pass….
Someone, whom I love very much, my best friend and wonderful doctor, said to me, "Don't let your joy sink in."
The last thing I heard when I went into the operating room, was this song from Queen, which an operating room nurse put me "Don't Stop me now." When I came out of the ICU two days later, the first thing I saw was a nine year old with a shaved head eating a piece of sandwich. This photo goes for the little one. Three days later, a colleague of that nurse put us “We‘ re the champions ”by Queen.
And in the meantime, I feel like that day again, and life goes on and doesn't stop….
Don't let your joy go

As some of you know I had a near fatal encounter with a brain tumor in 2010. My daughter found me unconscious and called 911. I thank her every day for saving my life!
Meningioma
A usually noncancerous tumor that arises from the membranes surrounding
the brain and spinal cord.
It isn't clear what causes a meningioma. Radiation therapy, female hormones, and genetics may play a role. In most cases, the condition is noncancerous.
Symptoms may include changes in vision, headaches, hearing loss, and seizures.
A small, slow-growing meningioma that isn't causing signs or symptoms may not require treatment. When needed, treatment might involve surgery or radiation.
Brain Tumor: Symptoms and Signs
Headaches, which may be severe and worsen with activity or in the early morning.
Seizures. People may experience different types of seizures. Certain drugs can help prevent or control them. ...
Personality or memory changes.
Nausea or vomiting.
Fatigue.
Drowsiness.

A Colombian mother holds her baby boy, having a tumor in his chest, during the religious healing ritual performed at a house church in Bogota, Colombia. Hundreds of Christian belivers, joined in nameless groups, gather every week in unmarked home churches dispersed in the city outskirts, to carry out prayers of liberation and exorcism. Community members and their religious activities are usually conducted by a charismatic pastor or preacher. Using either non-contactive methods (reading religous formulas from bible, displaying Christian symbols and icons) or rough body-pressure-points techniques and forced burping, a leading pastor commands the supposed evil spirit, which is generally believed to come from witchcraft, to depart a person’s mind and body. The demon’s expulsion often consists of multiple rites and may last for several months. © Jan Sochor Photography
Big Louie Loved boxes even if he didn't fit. We lost him a few years to a tumor on his lungs. By the time he showed any symptoms it was too late, He was a real good cat and we miss him.
a woman with severe
Neurofibromatosis
aka
Von Recklinghausen's disease,
a genetic disorder characterized by the growth of tumors on the nerves.
A disease that produces these tumors of the skin.
Careful management that tumors are not malignant is of the utmost priority.
I've seen this disease all over INDIA and BDESH .
Most of the afflicted make beggary their profession
no doubt.
Gajal was kind enough to allow me to photograph her in exchange for quite alot of TAKA ......
( BDESH currency )
i paid her handsomely
this is life in the third world

The tumor looks like it is growing again and she appears to be more careful so I wonder if the sight in her left eye is impacted. She is part of a tight group of whitetails again and was eating and moving alright.
You can see a history of this diseased doe in my Flickr album "Angie (2016)". (See albums below.)
Boomer had surgery to remove a perianal tumor on 2/14/23. You can see what the tumor looked like in the photo in the comments - I was just glad that it never looked as awful as the photos of these kind of tumors seen on the internet. The vet warned me that it was a painful surgery, and for the first few days afterward Boomer was in a lot of pain, even with pain medicine. Luckily, he's recovery really well, and is almost back to his old self. (this photo was taken the day after surgery, when he was still feeling miserable)
