Class 60s stabled at Peak Forest

By 2009 I believe 60011 was the last Tug left in the short lived Mainline blue livery. Due an overhaul, it was one of less than a dozen active 60s at the time as DB Schenker teetered on the edge of eliminating the class. Fortunately, they decided they couldn't do without them and 60011 is still active, although now in DBS dayglo red livery

I can't positively identify this working, but it was taken around lunchtime and I believe it is 6B35, the Hayes - Moreton-on-Lugg aggregate empties passing Cholsey

National Energy Corporation of Trinidad and Tobago Limited (National Energy), a subsidiary of the state-owned National Gas Company of Trinidad and Tobago Limited, has taken delivery of a new Damen ASD Tug 2811. National Energy has opted to have installed a Class certified Damen Marine NOx Reduction System to make it IMO Tier III compliant. While this is not a requirement in the Caribbean Sea yet, it is in full alignment with National Energy’s commitment to promoting sustainability in the local and regional energy sectors.

The ASD Tug 2811, named National Energy Resilience in recognition of the role it will play in delivering low-emission towage, has also been fitted with Damen Triton, Damen’s in-house remote monitoring software. Triton gathers data from across the vessel and analyses it to deliver valuable insights into efficiency and operability to owners and operators via its web-based platform. For National Energy, this will include insights into fuel consumption and CO₂, NOx and CO₂e emissions. Combining this data with its operational profile will allow National Energy to optimize the vessel’s operating profile, potentially reducing fuel consumption by up to 15-20%

PALMIET (IMO: 9206762) is a Tug that was built in 2000 (20 years ago) and is sailing under the flag of South Africa.

It’s carrying capacity is 293 t DWT and her current draught is reported to be null meters. Her length overall (LOA) is 30.8 meters and her width is 11.63 meters.

Although one of the smallest tugs in the USACE fleet, the veteran tug Hammond Bay still earns her keep. Hammond Bay usually assist her bigger fleetmate Billmaier during dredging operations. In this 2021 photo, the Hammond Bay was busy shifting barges around during a dredging operation outside the Duluth piers.

Oh gee, he absolutly loved the tug. Him, Focus and Krave kept all tugging at the same time. But Askum out weighs both of them so he was dragging them around no problem!

How many times do you see a moving subject slap bang in the middle of the frame?

It is not always a bad thing but it is worth considering the above, where I have give this vessel room to sail into.

Awaiting restoration at Tardebigge wharf, Worcester and Birmingham Canal.
