My "Tuesday morning" series is beginning to take on a theme: rain.
Good morning, good afternoon, good evening, wherever you may be. :)
There is no party for the people that don't come home.
The sommelier's view- Une éventualité peu probable
And it's true we are immune
When fact is fiction and TV reality.
And today the millions cry
We eat and drink while tomorrow they die.
The real battle just begun
To claim the victory Jesus won
On...
Sunday, bloody Sunday
Sunday, bloody Sunday..

Today was another rare morning.... Normally I don't see high clouds and low fog, but it happened today, and again it made for some unique lighting conditions. As it did yesterday, the fog moved out from inside the bay. A contact of mine, Stargazer95050 was lucky enough to capture yesterday mornings fog event, and clued me in on why the fog moves out, and not in during the winter months. I am not a weather scientist in any way, so I wont even try to explain this one. Thanks Andy for the info....
So I think this will be the last of these foggy mornings for a little while..... Thanks for the views and comments..... I appreciate the time everyone takes to view my images. Thank you!

I drove around back on the day prior to reopening, on the off chance there was a sign installed back there: sure enough, here it is! Not shown in this view were a large number of silver shopping carts outside the dock door. Turns out they were the old ones evidently, as this store has received all new (and not recycled from some other chain!) shopping carts, a photo of which (the new carts, that is!) will be posted in future Tuesday Morning uploads.

Bob took us shopping to the village market this morning at 8am to avoid the worst of the heat (& the tourists). The stall you see on the left sells all things Provençal (soap, table cloths, tea towels, lavender, etc.). I was standing at this spot for almost 30 minutes with Bob while my partner was queueing to the left of the shot at the cheese stall. It always takes an age buying cheese from that particular seller as it's so popular; she takes her time in explaining the cheeses and how to keep them and when to eat them and then packages them up very daintily. Her prices are the best of the market. Such top service but oh, the queueing....especially when you have a very fidgety puppy who still hasn't fully understood the meaning of the word 'SIT!'. The word 'bio' on the board for the olive stand is the equivalent to 'organic' in the UK. A.O.P. is a specific marque for products that are produced with a knowhow specific for the region, which gives them their characteristics in the same geographical area (or something like that!).
Happy Tuesdays all round!
(for the record I really hate that word)
The girls today at a discount store after the nature preserve that tried to tear me a new nose-hole.... We were in there for a while and neither of us bought a thing. But we had fun... and took pictures.
And finally for this set of photos, what was to be a closeup of the current Tuesday Morning sign, only I obviously failed to get the whole thing! Tuesday Morning uses very similar signage to this at most of their other locations I've seen.

From the same June 21, 2016 visit, we can see they were a good ways into putting up a new back wall for the expanded space that's to house Tuesday Morning at South Lake Centre.

The photo on the right shows the more upscale environment at the new store, yet lacking some of the character provided by the high ceilings and natural light coming in from the dormer windows at the old one. Oh well, can't have it all I guess, and I'm fairly certain they prefer the new store with it's nice new fixtures and furnishings! The wall clocks, paintings, etc. are now next to the furniture as well, as opposed to the opposite wall in the old store: a layout change that makes a whole lot of sense.

I had a Dr. appointment at the fitness center today. I snapped this picture in the parking lot shortly after I arrived. The white shed is part of what was a business selling Christmas trees. The fitness center isn't too far from where my wife and I reside.
Photo of the day December 20, 2022 - Camellia blossom on the edge of the property where my wife and I reside.
The Southaven location of Tuesday Morning has one of these kiosks as well (seen here flic.kr/p/KDNgDh, photo by Retail Retell). While the kiosk is up by the front registers in Southaven, this one is along the left side wall in the Germantown location.

Photo of the day November 08, 2022 - My wife still has a rose blossom, and a few buds on one of her rose bushes.
And finally for this set of photos: a view from the back end of the future Tuesday Morning location, showing most of the wall removed, save for the electrical panels. Moving all that electrical service is likely to be one of the most expensive parts of this expansion! This was another photo from the May 11, 2016 visit.

Didn't quite make it to reopening day this past Friday at the Southaven Tuesday Morning, but this was Sunday, September 25, 2016, day 3 of operation: close enough! The crowd was quite respectable for one of the hottest September days on record for the area, although there was no official grand reopening event to speak of that I could tell. The temperatures are forecasted to make a dramatic turn for the better by the time this photo uploads, which I will believe when I see (and feel) for myself!

...at the barbershop.
Arriving 20 minutes early in order to get a cup of coffee or two and time to read all their magazines.
Unfortunately, my barber, Alex, was early too.
This is the first thing I saw when I woke up this morning and looked out my bedroom window: the sun rising behind all of these sweet blooms. Instant "this is going to be a great day" thoughts went through my sleepy head, which is rare because I'm so *not a morning person, and less-positive thoughts typically loom when the alarm first goes off lol.
I am waaay behind in commenting, and will catch up with everyone very shortly. Enjoy your day!
As promised, here's a view of the all new shopping carts at the new Southaven Tuesday Morning location, replacing the rag-tag fleet they had at the old store. But then again, I believe that old fleet was just replaced not too long before they moved, and then replaced yet *again* for this new store!
