Alas, my love, you do me wrong,
To cast me off discourteously.
For I have loved you well and long,
Delighting in your company.

In the small town of Condette, northern-most France, you can find a charming little Tudor revival castle, built in the middle of the 19th century by the Englishman Sir John Hare. The castle rests on foundations much older than that, though. A castle was first built here in the 12th century, and the direct predecessor to the one now standing dated to 1222-1231, built by Philippe Hurepel de Clermont, son of the French king Philippe II Auguste. That castle was destroyed by Marie de Medici in 1615 in the religious conflict between Catholics and Protestants at the time. The place was left in ruins - but some of the defense walls survived, and this new castle were built incorporating those remains.
And now they have designed a garden at the back of the castle inspired by real, historical Tudor gardens.

I liked the door panel which was the LP cover image of a Tenpole Tudor album.
Looking for a great night spot to shoot NYC I was drawn to this bridge. I love the way the street acts like a leading line to draw you to the best skyscraper ever, the Crysler Building.
Opened in 1844 and recognised as one of the finest examples of railway architecture built in the Tudor style, the delightful station that is Wateringbury is captured here in the early morning sunlight.
The station lies on the Medway Valley Line in Kent, with the River Medway putting in an appearance on the right. Sadly the main building is no longer in use, although it was Grade II Listed in 1985 and appears to be in reasonable condition.
Southeastern class 375 unit 375302 is doing the honours with the 9.04am Strood - Tonbridge service (2T20) approaching the staggered platform behind me.
In such quiet bucolic surroundings it's hard to believe London's Charing Cross station is less than 40 miles away.

My interpretation of "The Tudor Cafe" Built during the reign of the Tudors, Henry VIII (1509–1547) The Tudor Café in Bore Street Lichfield Staffordshire, England, is a fine example of the architecture of the period Possible patrons were Samuel Johnson, 1709 - 1784 often referred to as Dr Johnson, who was an English writer who made lasting contributions in literature especially the English dictionary and Charles Darwin the Naturalist, both past residents of Lichfield.
……Shropshires County town has many Tudor buildings that still thrive & function today - what’s more they lend themselves to B&W photography, how cool is that!! Taken on my phone in Apple RAW and edited in to B&W in Lightroom. Alan:-) ……..

Three pins with little roses for the heads. Don't remember where they came from, all I know is everything eventually becomes a macro mondays subject so they were set aside just waiting for that time to come.

Part of the building dates to 1190, although most of the current structure dates to the 15th Century. It houses a museum. It is one of several mediaeval buildings still standing in the architecturally eclectic city of Southampton, Hampshire, UK.
A Beautiful house i have always enjoyed seeing on my travels through a little village near where i used to live. built between 1485/1603 . Many years ago i left this picture by their front door having tried knocking .I did put a note with the picture but i didn't hear anything back.
Details hewed in stone above a side-door to the King's College chapel, in Cambridge. This Gothic style chapel adjoining King's College (which itself was established in 1441) was built 1446-1515. The coats of arms of the House of York, and later Tudor, and the flower in the middle is the Tudor rose (combining the white rose of York and the red rose of Lancaster).
