I saw the most amazing rainbow on Friday...Didn't have the best view cos I was stuck at work at the time but that didn't stop me from running outside like a mad woman to get the shot!!...Bahaha....oh and btw this shot doesn't give the rainbow justice!! Just say'n!! ;)

Covel Creek Falls, in Gifford Pinchot National Forest, Washington. Kind of a tricky shot with a drone, especially trying to get a longer exposure with the air turbulence generated by the waterfall itself. Access is by trail #228 from either NF 76 or NF 28.

Tried my hand at snowflake photography yesterday. I laid a blanket out on a table outside for them to land on. There weren't many whole snowflakes but found a few. This was one. I'll be trying some more in the future.

I tried different creations with these beauties.

Although the common name is Aster and they are known to many by that name, the genus is Callistephus.

 

There is a genus of Aster with approximately 180 species.

 

This Callistephus Aster has a large solitary flower head at the top of the stem and sometimes on branches

 

Names: Aster, Chinese aster, China aster, Matsumoto aster, Callistephus and annual aster

This toad was minding his own business in the corner of our deck of the camping cabin. I probably would not have seen him if it wasn’t for the tree “ fluff” collecting around him. Once I saw him stick out his long tongue to catch a bug. He was so quick I did not catch him with my camera. I admired his ability to just blend in and be in the moment.
