L’astuzia di Penelope è nota. Attese per vent’anni il ritorno del marito, Ulisse, evitando di scegliere uno tra i proci grazie allo stratagemma della tela: avendo promesso che avrebbe scelto il futuro marito dopo aver portato a termine il sudario per Laerte, padre di Ulisse… la notte disfaceva ciò che tesseva durante il giorno.
Una dimensione naturale della nostra esistenza ci porta a considerare l’attesa come un fatto negativo. Il più delle volte è vero… ma è anche nel "tendere verso" che immaginiamo il futuro. Nell’attesa possiamo costruire il desiderio, sentirlo crescere in noi, coltivarlo, renderlo più conscio o persino più folle… dal presente possiamo distendere le fibre della nostra tela fino a raggiungere la passione… e poi sfilare tutto prima che si spezzi e ricominciare.
No, certo, sono d’accordo… non si può attendere in eterno. La passione, quella vera, è un cannibale che ti consuma assai rapidamente e un tormento perpetuo non è adatto a delle creature con la data di scadenza…
Eppure esercitare l’arte dell’attesa, la pazienza, e spingerla fino a scatenare l’immaginario un momento prima che si spezzi la fibra della tela ha il suo miele.

It was recently suggested to me by someone I care deeply about that I was a "linear thinker." Recognizing, of course, that this represented her opinion of reality and would have no bearing on my own, and, further, having no idea what was meant by the label, I decided to see if there was any truth to this "accusation."
The results of my test, here visually presented, show that perhaps she was on to something, tho I'm still not certain exactly what she meant.
Above, you see me, hands to head, projecting as best I can my thought patterns.

In the same way David too was confronted by the prophet Nathan to reveal his sin by bringing him back to basics [David's younger days of passionate shepherding) and things that matter to HIS heart.
God reveals His nature and heart to us by reveling our heart to ourselves as well. Jonah knew Gods nature, but did not recognize His (God's) desire to have that nature shaped into Jonah's heart as well...hence the story of the tree, worm and mercy....and how the Lord earnestly pursued Jonah all this time.

I really wanted to run this photo on Christmas day and tell you that this is the looks that the CraZyGang greeted Santa with......But Halo was having none of it......Saying that he made a promise to bring you a group photo on our Christmas Eve, and Christmas Eve it would be..... and he also said that he wanted nothing but the truth in my writing about Santa.....And we all know that when Halo lays down the law......It’s no good arguing ......So here is the whole group on Christmas Eve to wish you all a very Merry Christmas to you all.....And to thank you for your friendship that we all love so much.......And no ....Halo is not putting weight on.....It just that the very wide angle lens has not helped.....But the main reason is that he so proud of the gang that he has puffed his chest right out.........As for the real truth on how I got them looking so apprehensive, (Just look at Maysie-May) ...Yes you guessed it.... I picked up my guitar to play......LOL......But one thing for sure if you are reading this Santa......This is exactly the kinda look that you will get when you visit us late tonight....And that really is the Christmas truth......Have a good one...xxx

Robert E Lee is to this day the only person to pass through the US Military Academy at West Point without a single demerit. In the Mexican War General Winfield Scott called him “the greatest soldier I’ve ever seen.” As an Army Engineer, he re-routed the Mississippi River and saved the city of St Louis.
WHEN HE INHERITED SLAVES FROM HIS FATHER-IN-LAW, HE EDUCATED THEM AND SET THEM FREE, AND HE REFERRED TO SLAVERY AS “A POLITICAL AND MORAL EVIL”.
He turned down Lincoln’s offer to Command the US Army that would invade the South and his home State of Virginia even though leading that Army would have certainly brought him international fame and likely the presidency. He instead offered his sword to Virginia and fought against that invasion for four years leading an Army that was vastly outnumbered, out supplied and out fed. After the war, as the most beloved figure on either side of the war, he turned down all of the opportunities that would have enriched him by refusing to sell his family name. He chose instead to take a job with meager pay at Washington College because he knew that rebuilding the country meant that we needed to raise men of high honor and character. His first act as Dean of the College was to build a Chapel. On Lee’s last visit to Richmond, a lady approached General Lee with an infant in her arms and asked “Would you please hold my baby?” General Lee took the child, looked the woman in the eye and said “you must teach him to deny himself.” Biographer Douglas Southall Freeman pointed out that this one statement characterized the entirety of how General Lee lived. As the end of his life was approaching Robert E Lee was asked, with all of his accomplishments, what should his headstone say? He answered “that I am a poor sinner, trusting in Christ alone for my salvation.” That a monument to this man has been taken down is a monument itself. The barren space where his memorial stood is a testament to the depraved depths to which the morality and character of our society has fallen.

SANCTUARY OF TRUTH
Dieses Bauprojekt der Superlative steht direkt am Meer auf einem 120.000 Quadratmeter großen Terrain im Norden von Pattaya, eingebettet in die Naklua Bucht. Das größte Teakholzhaus Asiens, das im Stil eines Tempels gebaut wurde und verehrt wird wie ein Haus der Götter, ist 105 Meter hoch und fast 100 Meter lang.
Überall zieren überlebensgroße mythologische Figuren das “Heiligtum der Wahrheit” - eine Hommage an Vergangenheit, Gegenwart und Zukunft. Die kostbaren Holzschnitzereien werden in einer eigenen Werkstatt hergestellt, die man bei einem Rundgang über das Gelände ebenfalls besichtigen kann.
