Sanctuary of Truth
Mai's camera takes several seconds to actually take the shot once you push the button. This makes it tough to catch a dolphin diving through the air. Thus lots of pictures of ripples.

The town of Truth or Consequences, New Mexico. Originally called "Hot Springs," it was named after a radio show hosted here in the 50's. Taken July 26th, 2008.
Another view of Truth. As Truth is ultimately one of the foundations of law, it seems fitting to me that she sits here at the feet of Moses (albeit many, many feet down!).
Very pretty in large view - her face is quite solemn and determined.
Why did you move to TorC? I tell a long twisted story about being done
with NYC and not being able to afford to buy property in "cool"
places. The truth it though is that this town is bizarre. You know
bizarre in a great sort of way. Bizarre in the way that NYC was when
you would see 500 Santa's running out of FAO Schwartz. Bizarre like
riding in critical mass on a Friday night with 2500 people and corking
20 consective blocks of city traffic at once. This month our crazy
little town is showing Zeitgeist Addendum at the Sr. Center. That is
bizarre in a great sort of way.
I have always thought that is our experience that make the reality as we think it, and the best proof of this is the simplest one of all: there are some things that we think are in a certain way because we have always seen it that way. But when you experience something new, different, you actually understand you were wrong all this time. This, however, is a good thing; you find out a little piece more of the truth and that things are not always as you think they are just because you have only seen them that one way.

Not when truth is dirty, but when it is shallow, does the enlightened man dislike to wade into its waters.

words are
powerful
they can be
painful at times
but can also
heal us in our
deepest wounds
when we
cry out
who hears
our small voice
where do we
turn for understanding
and love
when we speak
do we use truth
in love
do we let words
spill out without
examining what
impact they have
we must take care
in how we use them
we also must
be sure of
where our truth
comes from
lean on the
strength given
freely to you
pour out your words
in gentle streams
that will flourish
beyond our imagination
