A Black-capped Chickadee pausing just long enough to accept a sunflower seed during the “Hand-feed a Chickadee” program at Brecksville Nature Center. These winter programs offer a rare opportunity to experience small songbirds up close and observe the trust and curiosity that help them survive the colder months. A quiet moment that doesn’t last long, but stays with you.

Winkworth Arboretum, near Hascombe in Surrey, is always a lovely place to visit – but in autumn it’s absolutely spectacular.
This magnificent land area hosts more than 1,000 species of tree and shrub, and covers some 95 acres (38 hectares). It’s the result of one man’s vision and passion: Dr Wilfrid Fox, one of Britain's leading dermatologist who bought the land next to his house in 1937.
This was the perfect site for him to experiment with planting styles and different tree species, and wanting to preserve his work for future generaions he donated Winkworth to the National Trust in 1952, ten years before he died.
“It now provides an excellent showcase for what Dr Fox described as ‘using plants to paint a picture’”, says the Trust. Some picture!
It's a foundational element of faith, and it's both an attitude and an action. It's a confident belief in the reliability, truth, ability, or strength of someone or something....thats trust

Red Squirrel felt seduced by yummy smell of the walnut in my daughters hand, so it decided to take the risk - always ready for the run as can be seen in its bodylanguage.

- 3 sheep with cold feet
- the disreputable scarecrow with a frosty hat
- the robin luckily missed the frost
- steps into the walled garden
- a frosty view of the South Downs
- warmth in the little church

Odd remnant laying in wait in the Halifax Public Gardens, Nova Scotia. I took several different perspectives of this situation and posted one other. This one stood out for me but the Explore Machine chose the other. That seems to happen time and time again. So I'll be just happy with that exposure as who else other than a glance from my spouse would ever see my fun other than our Flickr Community! Shooting keeps me halfway sane and gives me considerable pleasure.
堂々とした西洋建築と桜って意外に相性がいいですね。左側の二人はトヨタハリアーの撮影スタッフです。ハリアーの撮影場所にここを選んだことに妙に納得。

Imposing Western architecture and cherry blossoms are surprisingly compatible. The two men on the left are the Toyota Harrier film crew.I thought it appropriate that they chose to shoot the Toyota Harrier here.

There's something very sexy about being submisive,
Because your guard is down,
you have totally surrender to something like that.
