True Hope Village is a new community of tiny houses, serving as "bridge housing", sponsored by New Hope Missionary Baptist Church, Truevine of Holiness Missionary Baptist Church, and lease assigned by the Low Income Housing Institute. Each house is a sleeping quarter with electricity, lights, a heater, and other amenities that allows people to re-establish their lives. The village has kitchen and restroom/shower facilities, laundry, a counseling office, and a welcome/security hut where donations of food, clothing, and hygiene items can be dropped off. Local artists volunteered their time and materials to paint the outside of these houses with vibrant murals. The community is set to open sometime in September.
