Short story of this chance encounter:
I'm always the first person to get to work.
This morning there is a Praying Mantis right in front of the entry door! So I take a few macro photos and then proceeded to transfer him, with my Troy Lee Designs mountain bike gloves on, to a nearby bush for a moment. I grabbed my bicycle, a 2004 Soul Cycles Titan with a 2015 Fox 40 Performance Elite, and I ride across the street to Alderwood Trail, here in NE Portland, Oregon.
The sun was just coming up and the morning dew was glistening on the grass and leaves, so I transferred him to a tree along the trail; away from all the craziness of a corporate business center.
Saint Francis of Assisi (1181/1182-1226), the day the Church honors a great friar from Assisi, Italy. He is the patron saint of the environment and animals because he loved all creatures.

AMA PRO RACING
So I went out to the Supermoto finals in morongo, Thanks to the AMA. I have never shot so many images in my life, I had a blast and as always learned something new about shooting sports.
