The Mint 400 has has been one of the toughest, most spectacular off-road races in North America since 1968 when it was first run.
The weather for the 2018 Mint 400 on March 10th was cloudy and rain fell during the race. The race consists of three laps on a 119-mile course outside Jean, Nevada on BLM land.
Here Justin Loftin has the #41 Fox #AHBEEF Trophy Truck moving through the gravel pit at Spectator Area 2 near Jean, NV.

This would be my first time being this close to a trophy truck. it truly was a thing of beauty. Masterfully built and maintained this 850hp beast couldn’t of been sponsored by a more appropriate company.

Yesterday was my first time watching a Baja race, this was the Baja 250, which starts and ends in San Felipe, BC, Mexico.
t's a 250-mile dirt track through the desert and racers compete in "trophy trucks" (like the one on this photo), dune buggies, motorcycles, etc. There is no such thing as security or rules, so spectators walk or drive across the track whenever they think there is room enough to not get hit by a truck doing 80 MPH across the desert. Also no barriers, etc., to block the view.

He is a great addition to the desert racing community, and is cutting his teeth in the big leagues, and learning the hard way....he will get there, mad ~250 miles last yr., ~100 this year. Hopefully next year, this sport ain't for wusses.
