This is what happens when you come in third at trivia night: two bacardi glasses, a can of Tab, a can of jellied cranberry sauce, an energy drink, some holiday dish towells, the ruffle of a tux shirt from the seventies, some Camel coasters, and some green braces (suspenders). All in a festive basket that gave me a splinter.

To be fair, I was on a team by myself and had led for most of the evening. The last question brought me down hard.

Participants tested their knowledge from sports to science and everything in between while enjoying appetizers and drink specials.
