Prizes for first, second and third place trivia teams
On January 17th, transit trivia enthusiasts flocked to the New York Transit Museum for the first ever Transit Trivia Night, led by Stuart Post and Chris Kelley. Brooklyn Brewery and Boylan Bottling generously donated refreshments. Transportation Alternatives and the New York Transit Museum co-hosted the event. Over forty teams competed in six rounds of transit-themed questions:

Ten teams participate in the Trivia Night hosted by Vicenza Community Club at the Golden Lion Oct. 23.
The “Furlough This” team won after competing in several categories including current events and scary movies. “The Heisenberg’s” won as the best-dressed team.
Participants also enjoyed a raffle, prizes and snacks. The event helped raise $300 for community programs.

After a day of hiking and a nice dinner, most evenings would end with a Trivia game. This one had a DVD for movie and tv related questions. I'm terrible at Trivia, even with the movie questions...

I don't know if anyone is familiar with this free publication. It offers a few interesting stories, tidbits of current events, lots of ads and some trivia. Normally I'm no good at trivia. Sorry, my knowledge is not trivial. All my knowledge is useful. Yes I try anyway. My average is 3 out of the 5. Not today. Today I got them all right. I'll offer them up to my Flickr friends and issue answers tomorrow ... or tonight, depending on how much patience I have today.

Young Variety's 2011 Trivia Night sold 51 tables to individuals ready to test their knowledge and help local kids with physical and mental disabilities.
