This week's TrickyBricks challenge theme was "Ten" in honor of their 10th Anniversary! My interpretation of the theme was to take a look at what I was doing 10 years ago and what I hope to be doing 10 years from now!
At this time in 2010, I was gearing up with my saxophone for my final season of High School Marching Band! And when I look ahead to 2030, I realize I haven't given up on my lifelong dream of becoming a published author! My current 2020 sigfig cheers on from the stands, hotdog in hand.

My husband picked the reference material based on the color palette I had to work with. It’s a Japanese punch-out game piece from his treasured bootleg collection, and just ridiculous enough that I had to accept the challenge.
I was waiting for a few more pink tiles to arrive to finish the framing. It’s all done now and hanging on the wall. I love that it makes him so happy.

Unbeknownst to Brickaroo Banzai at the time of the successful test of the oscillation overthruster Arthur Cluckington the 3rd was passed out behind the seat of the jet car due to a drunken bender the night before. At the moment the jet car crashed upon arriving at an alternate dimension Arthur was ejected and knocked unconscious. When he finally regained consciousness neither Brickaroo Banzai nor the jet car could be found. Not being one to give up when times get difficult Arthur managed to find and steal an airplane from what appeared to be a human sized Albatross.
