I just drove out southwest of town and found more flood destruction on Nimbus Road west of Niwot at their cemetery. I caught this across the road from the cemetery. The bridge over Lefthand turned the flood waters down the road so I had to walk across a lot of sand to get this shot. I kind of like the afternoon light that streams over the mountains on the right. I hit Golden Ponds (only partly open), Thompson Park and the Longmont cemetery. I got caught up in a project chasing autumn leaves falling in a breeze. My first shot was at Thompson park when I missed a pretty good show in the breeze... by two minutes. We've had pretty good color and pretty good breezes but I never have hit both in the perfect "fall." In fact, this is next to the Niwot cemetery and I waited for quite a while with another photographer as the breezes started to flag. I'd say autumn shots are gone but the cottonwoods match the stark.
Strangely, we had a summer that was closer to normal, if high in humidity, but I don't think ignoring climate change or pumping petroleum will make rougher weather go away. That is at least until the looming petroleum wars are settled and the Koch Brothers and their political tea purchases are put away in their place. Until then CO2 levels in the atmosphere which are at an 850 million year high, will not be turned around. Actually, all anti-fracking proposals passed in Colorado.

Hathor, Menkaure and a Goddess.
Four triads were found in the Valley Temple of Menkaure, grandson of Khufu, at Giza. Originally, there were probably eight of these, each representing the king with goddess Hathor and a deity of one of the administrative areas (nomes) where this goddess had a major cult area. This triad represents the king with goddess Hathor and the patron deity of the Bat nome (located in the Middle Egypt).

Ok, I was 17 when I took this image and just experimenting at the wonders of exposure back in 1986. I had a flashlight to produce the circles and my Grandfathers old Vivitar Flash to blast my face. This was shot on a Pentax ME Super set on BULB. I can’t remember the film, Paper and all the chemicals (D-76 and others) but the result was grand for me at the time.
I love this image, but I can't think of a name I like for it, so I'm calling it "Color Triad" (too analytical --- I know) until something better strikes me. Sometimes it can take months...
My favourite Triad Toys sculpt - Zorro. Though he still looks related to all their other sculpts he has character in abundance.
Built in 1871, this Victorian house stands at 213 South Main Street. It now houses Alamance Arts, and is a contributing property to the Graham Historic District. The district was placed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1983.
Graham, North Carolina is a small town located between Greensboro and Chapel Hill near Burlington. It serves as the seat of Alamance County.
The portal triad consists of bile duct, branch of portal vein, and branch of hepatic artery. The large empty feature in the middle is the portal vein venule branch. Immediately to the right is the swirl of smooth muscle cells indicating the cross section of an arteriole. To the right of the arteriole is the "strong of pearls" simple cuboidal cross section of the bile duct. Can you visualize them?
