I spotted this lovely red Camellia peeping through my honeysuckle trellis from the other side of my garden.

A surprise last spring was the smaller but interesting Swabian Farm Museum Illerbeuren. They seem to specialize in old appte and even pear trees - if I recall it right. We've been there at the end of winter somehow. They told us, in late summer they celebrate the harvest of all the old trees. This one was one of the few mounted to one of their old houses. I'd recomment a visit to the museum - especially when it's not high season.

I had some fun with this.

This is a telephoto view (at 70mm) so the posts line up closer and you see more blooms.

I took the photo as the basis for a kaleidoscope pattern, and layered the photo, the pattern, and a red vignette on top of each other.

I love possibilities more than so-called facts.

I love imaginations more than an answer.

I love visuals more than statistics.

That’s me.

I haven't been getting any photos lately, probably because I have taken up the piano again, after many years, and it is taking up my spare time.

So I went into the archives, and found a photo from an ordinary, much drier summer than the one just past.

So, does a trellis count as a fence, I wonder? So I could put it into Fenced Friday?? Hmm.

As a composer and as a musician I'm a true believer - and this is not to be overly diplomatic - I'm a believer that there's artistry in everything from a lawn gnome to a desk chair to a symphony to an Andy Warhol painting. There's art in absolutely everything. Darren Criss
